In front of the property there is a garden, with rustic seating, ideal for catching the morning sun and a garden with pergola, patio furniture and sunloungers at the rear for relaxation and sunset barbecues.

An optional adjoining suite can provide an additional very large bedroom with double and single bed + a cot in large area adjacent to the bedroom. The suite also has its own bathroom with corner bath and shower. This is an ideal combination for two families or a family wishing to holiday with grandparents.  
 
WILLOW COTTAGE - Sleeps 6 + cot (Optional adjoining double bedroom and bathroom makes 8 + 2 cots) 
 
This is a self-contained, semi-detached cottage and offers spacious accommodation arranged on two floors. 
 
There is a very large open-plan living area on the ground floor with a staircase, including safety gates, leading to bedrooms and bathroom above. 
 
At the front of the property there is a garden, with rustic seating, ideal for catching the morning sun and a garden with patio furniture at the rear for afternoon relaxation and sunset barbecues. 
 
The accommodation provides: 
 
Ground Floor 
 
KITCHEN/LIVING AREA: 
This very large room with an attractive outlook has original exposed beams with a rustic archway dividing the two areas. The original stone fireplace has been preserved. 
 
The well-equipped, fitted kitchen comprises washing-machine, fridge, full size gas cooker, microwave, iron/ironing board plus all crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. 
 
The living area has retained its original decorative tiled floor. It is furnished with a dining table and chairs, three seater sofa, two armchairs and a coffee table. We have also provided a video player - you might like to bring your own tapes for the children or evening entertainment. 
 
First Floor 
 
This is reached by a staircase from the kitchen area with safety gates top and bottom. 
 
FAMILY BEDROOM: 
A large carpeted room, retaining original beams and exposed stone walls, which has an en-suite WC and wash basin. Furnishings comprise double bed with wall reading light, bunk beds and cot with mattress; fitted clothes storage, chest of drawers, chair, bedside tables and ceiling fan. 
 
SECOND BEDROOM: 
Carpeted room with original beam and exposed stone walls. Furnishings comprise two single beds with wall reading lights, fitted clothes storage, chair and ceiling fan. 
 
BATHROOM 
Light and airy, comprising bath with shower, hand-basin and WC. 
 
GARDENS: 
In front of the property is a paved and gravel area, with rustic seating, and a garden at the rear with patio furniture, parasol and barbecue. There is ample car parking space.

La Rochelle (30 mins) - popular historic town, with its world-famous old port and open-air sea-food cafes. 
Many wonderful beaches within 30 mins, Châtelaillon Plage the nearest. 
Cognac with its beautiful shops and restaurants, famous distilleries and vineyards.  
Chateau de La Roche-Courbon (25 mins). 
 
Venise Verte (Green Venice) with its wonderful wildlife and waterways.  
Royan with nearby pine forests and surfing beaches and Palmyre Zoo. 
The beautiful off-shore islands of Ré and Oléron. 
St Savinien (15 mins) on the river Charente has an open-air swimming pool with flumes and a lake with sailing boats for hire. Saint Jean d’Angely (20 mins) offers an indoor swimming complex with 3 pools, fitness studio, jacuzzi and sauna. 
 
Well worth a visit - the Roman town of Saintes and Rochefort. 
Futuroscope, the science-fiction theme park with its amazing experiences of modern and future technology (1 hour).
