Vacation Rental Description
In the village of Chadeniers, just 15 minutes to the coastal villages of Talmont and Meschers and only 26km from the sandy beaches at Royan, you will find L'Ancienne Ecole Gites. Formerly the village school and attending houses, L'Ancienne Ecole has been tastefully refurbished to provide comfortable accommodation in four spacious gites. Each gite looks out onto the old school playground, in the centre of which stands the majestic horse chestnut tree, offering welcome shade on those hot summer days!!

Les Lilas offers spacious, comfortable accommodation with a fully equipped kitchen/dining area including washing machine and dishwasher, living room with air conditioning, full size sofa bed, mobile phone (pay as you go), TV, TNT, DVD and satellite. Two bedrooms, one with four beds (2 single and one set bunkbeds) and one double, and a bathroom with walk-in shower.

Access to Les Lilas is on one level with the exception of two steps. one in the shower area and one into the kitchen/dining area. To the rear of Les Lilas is the patio area with furniture and barbecue.

The 10 x 5 x 1.5mtr pool is terraced and has ample sun loungers and parasols for all guests and a selection of pool inflatables are also available. The games area is covered to offer some welcome shade from the sun whilst beating your opponent at either Table Tennis or Table football, or if you prefer something less energetic, there is also a selection of Board Games, Books and DVD films available!! Close by is the full size French Boules Court, what better way to spend an evening in the late setting sun, than to play a game of boules. The boules are provided along with a full set of children's boules, so they too can join in the fun

All the on site facilities including the pool are shared with the other gite guests.

    • Just 3km to the west of L'Ancienne Ecole lies Gemozac where you will find Restaurants, supermarkets, banks, post office, doctors surgery, chemist and boulangeries. A market is held in the village every Friday with a larger market on the third friday of the month. each gite has a large selection of up to date information from the tourist office for ideas on days out, children's activities and places of interest.

    The resort of Royan lies on the Gironde, less than half an hour from the gite, with a bustling port and large sandy beaches. Here you will find restaurants, snack bars, shops and markets, boat hire and orgainised boat trips.
    Close by is the medieval village of Pons, the coastal villages of Mortagne-sur- gironde, Talmont and Meschers within 15mins and a little further a field Palmyre Zoo,Cognac, Bordeaux,Saintes and the Aquairium at La Rochelle, all nearby activities are within easy reach from L'Ancienne Ecole Gites

    The weekly rental cost is fully inclusive of air conditioning, electricity, gas, water, BBQ Coals (starter pack), welcome pack on arrival, all bed linen, towels, pool towels and tea towels. Cots, high chairs and baby baths are also available at no extra cost A non refundable deposit of 25% is required to confirm a reservation, with payment in full eight weeks prior to arrival. End holiday cleaning is available at a cost of 50e Shopping service for arrival is available at no extra cost
