The house is situated in the village of Dampierre sur Boutonne.There are 4 bedrooms,3 double and 1 twin.2 bedrooms have en suite shower/toilet and there is a further shower/toilet upstairs.Downstairs is a large kitchen with dining table,fridge,microwave and gas cooker.There is a large salon with dining area,sitting area and UK satellite TV.There is a seperate utility area with washer and dryer and also downstairs toilet.Large garage for parking.Courtyard garden with garden furniture and BBQ. 
The Charente Maritime is famous for the many varieties of goat's cheese produced,the shaggy Poitou donkey(breeding centre 5mins from house)and the bird life to be observed. 
The coast at LA ROCHELLE is 40mins drive and is where you can sample delicious seafood and wander the narrow streets.There are many good beaches nearby. 
COGNAC is 45mins drive inland and there are many distilleries where you can sample the brandy.
