Pretty stone cottage in quiet location.Sleeps 2/4.Upstairs are twin beds and a shower/toilet.Downstairs is sitting area with double sofa bed,kitchen with fridge and dining area.All utensils provided.We can also provide a cot and high chair.Bed linen is provided but please bring your own towels.
Outside is self contained garden with own entrance,garden furniture and BBQ.Off road parking available.
The nearest village is Dampierre sur Boutonne where there is a shop,bar/restaurant and bakers.The small town of Aulnay is 15mins drive where there is a colourful Sunday market and bars and restaurants.The nearest supermarket is also in Aulnay.
The area is great for fishing and the river is 10min walk from cottage.Fishing licenses can be arranged.
The coast at LA ROCHELLE is 40mins drive.This is where you can sample delicious seafood and wander the narrow streets.There are good beaches nearby.
COGNAC is 45mins drive inland where there are many distilleries all offering you the opportunity to taste and tour the distillery.The river Charente where you can take river tours.
At Poitiers,1hr drive,is FUTUROSCOPE-the park of the moving image.This makes a great day out for all the family.
The Charente Maritime is famous for its many varieties of goat's cheese,the shaggy Poitou donkey (there is a breeding centre 5mins from cottage)and also the great variety of bird life to be observed.
