Eglise house recently painstakingly restored whilst retaining all its gallic charm. The period property is on two floors comprising a wonderful spacious open plan area downstairs for all the family and a downsatairs wc and there is a hand made oak staircase leading to the three bedrooms and luxury shower room on the first floor. It has all the mod cons including all new kitchen equipment and even a dishwasher, plasma tv with uk satellite and cd / mp3 player etc and huge sofas to relax on.The property benefits from a private under cover rear bbq area with outside lighting.  
 
Eglise house is situated within the courtyard and sleeps 6/7 people comfortably has been recently renovated to a very high standard whilst retaining wonderful original features. 
 
There is a very large in ground swimming pool, with sun loungers, benches and parasols; we also have a children's play area and French boules court too too!The gites are open all year, benefiting from oil-fired central heating throughout and a wood burning fire in the lounge.The gites are situated amidst rolling countryside with outstanding views over the surrounding hills but located within easy reach of main attractions and larger towns. Sorry we do not accept pets and the accommodation is non smoking. Sheets and towels are all included for your convenience with the exception of beach towels.

There is an abundance of secure parking with each property.Outside each property benefits from a private gravelled patio area with BBQ, parasol and garden furniture. Both have outside lighting and the rear seating area at Eglise house is also undercover. There is a large in ground swimming pool, with sun loungers, benches and parasols; we also have a children's play area and a French boules court with seating too! The properties are open all year round, benefiting from oil-fired / electric central heating throughout and a wood burning fire in each lounge. The many acres of gardens benefit from landscaped pathways beside flower borders and a variety of fruit trees in the orchard. In addition chickens are located within the grounds in their own enclosure assuring guests of a plentiful supply of freshly laid eggs. The properties are situated amidst rolling countryside with outstanding views over the surrounding hills but located within easy reach of main attractions and larger towns.

There is a wealth of things to do in an area full of history.The Vendee Wars offer a fascinating insight into the regions history and there are many attractions as a result of that period. There are many chateauxs close to our properties all with their own story to tell.  
 
A riding stable, the Poney club de menjopolis, is 2 mins from our gite where all abilities are welcome & prices start from 10 euros per hour for tuition.  
 
Mervent Forest - nearby, a paradise for nature lovers & lots of sporting activities. You can explore the many marked footpaths by foot, cycle or horseback. All the lakes are suitable for swimming & you can hire sail boats and try your hand at archery. There is also an amusement park and superb small zoo with lions and bears. 
 
Attractions in the surrounding countryside include the museums, windmills, clock chimes & paintball at Mouilleron-en-Pareds, hot air balloning from our own land, sailing at Lac de Rochereau and fishing/golf opportunities are endless.

• Travel Info: We are situated in a small pretty village Thouarsais Bouildroux in the heart of the Southern Vendee but well placed for all amenities and the fabulous pine forests and sandy beaches of the coast.The nearest village 2kms away has a boulangerie, Spa supermarket, charcuterie and bars and restaurant.
