Vacation Rental Description

Holiday at our renovated mill house with extensive tranquil gardens on the edge of the river Lay. We provide breakfast and picnic lunch to take the work out of your holiday. We have a self catering kitchen and barbeques if you like the freedom to self cater in the evenings, or take a 2 minute walk into town and enjoy the local restaurants.
Included in your holiday is free use of our swimming pool, bikes, river boats, kayaks, catamarans, dinghies, sailboards, fishing equipment, table tennis, badmington croquet, petanque and football, or just relax and enjoy the bird life and peace of our garden and two islands in the river.
Our four bedrooms have en suite shower, toilet and washbasin and linen is provided. We have a guest lounge/dinning room with English television, dvd player, books and free wifi access. Our guest kitchen has cooker, microwave, fridge, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and all crockery, cutlery, glasses and pans.
There are also places to eat out doors in the garden, and sun bathe.

Breakfast and picnic lunch are provided for our guests, and you have free use of our guest lounge/dinning room and kitchenette if you like to self cater in an evening. There are also barbeques in our garden for the use of our guests.

Our guests have free use of our on site facilities, which include swimming pool, bikes, kayaks, river boats, catamarans, dinghies, fishing equipment, sailboards, hot tub, table tennis, badmington, petanque, & croquet.
We are in a wine growing region, and are happy to take our guests around the local vineyards on wine tasting excursions.
Within walking distance of our house there is tennis,shopping,restaurants,hiking and a childrens playground.
The beach, golf, horse riding, theme park, zoo, the cinema, gym and theatre are a short drive away.
Puy Du Fou and Futurescope are well worth a visit, and within easy reach, as are the interseting towns of La Rochelle, Les Sables, La Roche and Fontenay Le Compte.

Our prices are per adult per week based on two people sharing a room. Children aged 2-15 years are half the adult price. Babies under 2 years are free. We take 25% deposit on booking, the balance 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. We accept most credit cards.

Relax or play, even mum has a break

We provide breakfast and picnic lunch to give mum a break. We have plenty of inclusive activities on site for families to enjoy, or just relax and enjoy our tranquil gardens.Do as little or as much as you want.
Our region boasts as many hours of sunshine per year as the South of France, and the summers are warm.
There are some very reasonble restaurants within walking distance of our house, in the town of Mareuil Sur Lay. Chez Tony's is a particular favourite of ours, where a simple 3 course meal including wine is 10€. If you prefer, enjoy a barbeque in the gardens on those warm lazy summer nights.
Our property is located in a wine growing region, and we are always happy to take our guests on wine tasting excursions to the local vineyards. A short drive to the coast and you can enjoy miles of sandy beaches, either sheltered for bathing, or more exposed for body boarding or surfing.
We are on hand to look after our guests, and we are always happy to give advice on the local area and attractions.
