About a 10 minute drive away is the Indian Forest Adventure Park which is suitable for all ages and where you can zip wire through the forest, do paintballing, have pony rides etc., etc. We also have the go-karting track at La Jonchere, about a 10 minute drive and which is great fun for children and adults. The area is perfect for cycling with 500 miles of cycle tracks and bike hire is widely available. The beautiful sandy beaches are close by and are very family friendly, especially at La Tranche where it is a designated "kid station" with special areas set aside for youngsters. If you like boats this is the place to come, apart from the sailing at La Tranche and La Faute it is possible to hire flat bottomed boats in one of the villages and explore the Marais Poitevin (Green Venice), the winding canals that criss cross the area.
Lucon is less than a 10 minute drive and has a good variety of bars, restaurants and shops.
