Situated in a small hamlet on the edge of a small village in the countryside. Chez Marthe lies within 15/20 mins drive of the Vendee's fast, sandy, EC awarded Blue Flag beaches, including the resorts of la Tranche sur mer and les Sables d'Olonne. Also within 15 mins drive are several golf courses.
kitchen/dining room - well equipped kitchen with fridge, gas cooker, microwave. Wood burning stove for those chilly evenings out of season, also convector heaters.
1 bedroom with 2 single beds, doorleading to second patio with garden furniture. Large wardrobe and dressing table, bedside table.
1 bedroom with double bed, direct access to bathroom. Large wardrobe, bedside table. Lounge area with settee and chairs, looking out onto south-facing patio, with garden furniture and parasol. CD/radio/cassette player. English TV (satellite). DVD player. Free WIFI internet access.
Bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC. Hairdrier.
Utility room with sink, storage space, washing machine, 2nd fridge and chest freezer (for all those ice creams and chilled drinks!)
Small private garden with sun loungers.
Barbecue, rotary washing line, airier; toys for children, windbreaks etc. Adult bikes available for cycling to the village for your croissants - or further............
The cottage is at right-angles to the owners house and is totally independent - we are on site but out-of-sight! We are English but French speaking and are very happy to help with any reservations, recommendations, translations etc. or anything you require. But above all, we respect your privacy.
Bed linen available on request.
