Vendée Cottages is a family business run by an Anglo-French couple who fell in love with the area and decided to move there nineteen years ago. They live in the neighbouring hamlet and are always on hand to give help and local knowledge.The aim has been to provide a high standard of comfort without destroying the original character of these Vendéenne houses. It was also thought essential to aid the domestic chores by adding such things as dishwashers and washing-machines 
 
Within driving distance of the Channel ports, the VENDEE offers fabulous unspoilt beaches that stretch for miles. The little village of Champ Saint Père enjoys the fine weather experienced South of the river Loire but the heat is rarely oppressive. The village is twenty minutes from the beach, in the middle of the Vendée Bocage, an area of gently rolling hills and wooded lanes. 
La Grange is situated in the hamlet of Les Rivieres. The old stone built Vendeenne barn has been transformed into a splendid country house sleeping 10 people plus babies. It is ideal for two or more families sharing or a great family gathering. The house faces South and looks over water meadows and woods. The grounds extend to approximately 5 acres and border the Graon river. The South facing patio leads onto the 5m by 10m swimming pool with garden furniture and barbecue.The pool is fenced from the rest of the garden.

    Our prices are in euros, per week. We accept payment by credit card We ask for 25 % booking deposit, the balance is due six weeks before arrival. There is a damage deposit of £200 or 300 euros paid by cheque and returnable if the house has been left in good order and there haven't been any breakage. Special offer in June and September only: for any week booked, the second week if free!
