Luxury holiday gite in Loir Valley, France. 2 bedroom gite sleeps 5-6 people. If you are looking for that idyllic holiday come and find us in this great location, explore the chateau's with gardens, churches with frescoes, vineyards, festivals, water activities, great walks and a keen spot for cyclists. L'Huilerie is a wonderful property dating from 1837 and the gite renovation completed in 2004, vaulted ceilings with oak beams add true characteristics to The Stable. The property is set in its own grounds with apple and pear trees in the orchard. We are 1.5km from the village, where the boulangerie is open early in the mornings for your fresh french breads and croissants.
The Stable has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and dining table with 6 place settings, all linen is provided. It has full central heating ensuring an all year round location.
The lounge is light and airy with the double height vaulted ceiling with relaxing sofa's with TV, dvd and video player and leads to the patio area outside.
Kitchen
Bedroom 1
The ground floor bedroom is a well appointed double bedroom with 2 single beds and additional fold-up bed, a large wardrobe and dressing table and can be accessed by french doors from the gardens. The large shower room with corner shower unit is across the hallway.
Bedroom 2
Upstairs (mezzanine) with a double and single bed ideal for families, a large wardrobe, and bedside cabinets complete the room (stair gate can be provided), with an en suite shower room, with corner shower unit.
Facilities
The property is set in its own grounds with apple, plum, cherry and pear trees in the orchard. Adjacent to the main property is a large field for camping with a stream running along the side, fishing is possible on request. Undercover parking available in the barn, secure grounds making this the ideal location for children and animals. Welcome pack is provided on arrival with local produce. Luxury hamper is available on request (£50) including Champagne, chocolates, seasonal fruit, pate's, fresh bread, cheese, fresh coffee etc. (Details on request) Catering can be offered, candle-lit dinners in the Stable, on the terrace or in the Orchard, lovely for those romantic evenings, special birthdays and anniversary treats. (can be arranged for a nice surprise). Lunch hampers full of local produce. (Details on request) Large garden is shared with the English speaking owner.
Activities
Great food and wine region, take one of the many wine trails, explore the towns and villages along the way.
A wonderful central location for all your sightseeing requirements and retail therapy. We are 40 mins south from Le Mans, this will satisfy the retail requirements and those with a love of fast cars and bikes during the racing season. 50 mins north of the wonderful town of Tours, caters to all needs of the old and new, lovely cafes and restaurants, great food and wine and for just sitting watching the world go by.
There is a fantastic zoo at La Fleche, centainly a worth while day out.
Other attractions include - Water sports with the water park at Macon. The Foret de Berce is 2km from the gite and has 280km of bike trails of all levels from beginners to experienced and the surrounding area is very plesent for safe cycling around the towns and villages. There are a number of stables around, providing horse riding for all ages and levels.

Refundable breakages deposit of £100 required on arrival, to be refunded on departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection). £100 deposit to secure the booking with balance due six weeks before your arrival. Special rates for long term lets. (Details on request) It is expected that you leave the gite clean and tidy, but if you prefer full cleaning can be provided : £30 Baby cot & highchair available on request. Property is ideal for children of all ages. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome. Smoking only on the patio/garden. We can accept payments by cheque or bank transfer in GBP or Euros
