Vacation Rental Description
La Lune was originally 2 houses dating back to the early 1800s, which we have lovingly restored into a welcoming Bed & Breakfast. Our private fishing lake of approx one acre is fully stocked with Carp, Bream, Tench and Perch. Perfect for pleasure anglers and families. Situated on the D4, just off the D357 and only 3 kms from exit one of the A81, we are ideally placed for touring this beautiful region of France. Among some of the many places to visit is Le Mans, home to the famous 24 hour race circuit and automobile museum. The superb golf course at Solesmes, is of International standing and is known to be one of the most beautiful in France. The troglodyte houses at Saumer are a must. The Loire, famous for its regal history, has many wonderful chateaux to visit. One of the many Medieval villages near by is St Suzanne, here you can take in the breathtaking scenery or meander down one of the many walking trails. There are several large lakes close by which offer beaches, water sports, restaurants and much more. 
As well as a private garden, there are 3 acres of mature grounds which include the lake, above ground pool, sunbathing patio and a large covered BBQ area for the use of all our guests, perfect for sitting out on long warm evenings, eating, drinking and socialising. What better way to end the day. We also have a childrens swing, badminton net and boulles. 
 
A 5 min drive takes you to the lake at Brulon which has its own beach, canoeing, fishing, cycle trails, tennis and bar/restaurant and within 1/2 hr drive you can be in a National Park which is home to a large 100 acre lake with beach, water sports, crazy golf, fishing, and a waterside restaurant. In just 2 hrs you can be at the beautiful beaches of the Vendee or the Pink Granite Coast of Northern Brittany, or visit the famous Le Mont St Michel Abbey. 
 
The Golf course at Sable-Solesmes is 25 kms away and is in the peaceful setting of forests and the Sarthe river. Situated on a 140 ha complex it is one of the most beautiful courses that combines both sport and nature. The 4 different courses that make up this complex has something for everyone, from top players to beginners. 
 
We are approximately 2hrs drive from St.Malo and Caen ferry ports and approx 4 hrs drive from Calais. Nantes airport is approx 2 hrs drive, and Tours approx 1 1/4hrs. Paris is approx 2 - 2 1/2hrs. We recommend you drive or hire a car to enable you to explore this lovely region.

    • We have a family room with a double bed and 2 singles (room for extra fold up bed or cot if required). 1 room with double bed and single bed, 1 room with a double bed and 1 room with 2 single beds. All rooms have ensuite shower, toilet and vanity unit. Each room has tea/coffee making facilities, DVDs, floor fans and electric heating. The kitchen/diner is equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle, iron and ironing board and UK television. THREE bedrooms, all next to each other can be used for Self Catering in low season, and can sleep up to 8 people. Use of washing machine and tumble dryer is available for S/C guests at a small extra charge. The lounge has comfortable seating, DVD library, board games and books for your use. The covered terrace is perfect for eating outside on warm summer evenings or just to enjoy a nice glass of French wine or a cold beer.

    • Our one acre fully stocked fishing lake is ideal for those who like fishing. The lake is adorned by beautiful willows and is set in 3 acres of mature gardens.

    Our B&B prices are per room per night based on 2 sharing. 15 euros per night for each additional person in a room. A booking form and conditions will be sent via email attachment with your booking. For Self Catering we require a 20% deposit at time of booking.
