Chez Gallois is at the heart of a countryside rich with wildlife including: deer, squirrels, badgers and hares in our woods. We also have a large variety of birds such as buzzards, woodpeckers, swallows, owls, herons, hoopee, and great/blue tits!
Our Gite is both private and quiet and makes an ideal holiday retreat for a couple or a small family. Why not BBQ at the side of our lake or picnic in the centre of our woods? The climate is pleasant all year round with temperatures typically about 32 degrees in June, July and August.

Games room includes: pool table, table tennis, darts,10-stationed Multi-gym, treadmill and exercise bike.
Fresh farm produce - eggs, fruit and vegetables available in season.

There are numerous Chateaux, Museums, Water Mills and Churches in the surrounding area. We also have a Roman baths, Pre-historic caves, Landscape gardens and the wonderful Refuge de l’Arche which is the home to over 800 animals including lions, tigers and bears. Every Thursday there is an outdoor market in the town centre which has the largest collection of livestock in France.
For the kids Chateau Gontier offers a wide range of attractions including : Pony and trap rides, horse riding and racing, golf, mini-golf, tennis, swimming, archery, basketball, roller skating and a variety of water sports including: kayaking, canoeing, pedaloes, motor boating and skiing. There is so much to do !!!
The town also hosts many bars and restaurants from Italian, Chinese, Thai, American (Mcdonalds) to the excellent local cuisine at exceptionally reasonable prices for the Plats du Jour.
