The house, in tuffeau stone dates from the 19th Century and dominates the Loire. From the windows, you can see the Castle of Saumur, as it's very close to the property. You can walk to the historic centre of the town in 10min by going through the bridge of the castle.
There are many things to see in the area of Saumur: archaeological sites, art and religious buildings, castles and manor houses, the World of Horses, the windmills, the museums, the Loire, the parks and gardens, troglodytes, the vineyard and wine tasting.
The halles, Place St Pierre, located nearby, will make you discover our regional products. There is also a supermarket within 5 minutes by car.

Saumur is a historic town which is located in between 2 rivers, the Loire and Thouet river. The 2 rivers join to the west of Saumur to form one. Saumur is well known for its National School of Horsemanship, which hosts the annual horse shows. The tank museum, due to the Armoured Branch and Cavalry Training School nearby, hosts over 850 armored vehicles! Saumur was also the site of a battle during World War 2.
