Vacation Rental Description
5 Globes Highly Commended internet rating. With a heated pool.The original Farmhouse dates back to the 18th century. A traditional French Longiere has the benefit of very few stairs, only two leading into the bedroom area and three from the kitchen to the dining room. The tiles in the lounge, kitchen and one of the bedrooms are original and unique for the area.In the lounge we have installed a wood burning fire which gives heat and a warm glow on the cooler evening in spring and winter, comfortably furnished and has TV and videos, hi-fi and cd’s, plus books and games for all ages. The oil fired central heating provides warmth throughout the gite. Anjou has a separate lounge, dining room and kitchen as well as a separate bathroom and toilet. Also two double bedrooms and one twin room. Cot and travel cot highchair and pushchair are also available on request. Anjou has its own spacious private lawned garden overlooking the vineyards complete with BBQ, garden furniture, child’s picnic table etc….
The Heated swimming pool is positioned in the top garden which soaks up the sun from morning to evening. (The pool is open mid May to mid September) There are sun loungers, table & Chairs and also a children's unsupervised play area with swings, toddlers slide, climbing rope plus many trikes and other outside children's toys. Why not try the fruit from our apple, pear, plum and apricot trees or the strawberries and raspberries.

Activities
The region offers so many varied and beautiful places to visit that you will want to return time and time again. You can see everything from a rose garden to a Tank Museum at Saumur. Futurscope at Poitiers is a theme park packed with thrills.
The Loire is world famous for its beautiful Chateaux, many of which are open to the public and should not be missed. The historic towns of Amboise, Blois, Saumur and Beaugency are jewels in the Loire's crown and therefore worth visiting. Saumur, which is only a 15 minute drive from the gite is a beautiful town, bordering the Loire river.
The'Parc Mini Chateaux' at Amboise is a revelation. Go along and marvel at the 44 chateaux in miniture which grace the Loire. Gasp in admiration of workmanship and the care taken building these fantastic 'mini' chateaux. Villandry is renowned for the harmony of its architecture and its gardens and is the last of the great Renaissance Chateaus.

To book please complete our booking form and return this together with the refundable security deposit of £100.00 plus 20% of the total rental. The final payment is due 8 weeks prior to your holiday commencement date. We offer a 10% discount on the second and subsequent weeks booked. Anjou is strictly no smoking and no pets. Oil central heating is payble localy. We provide all cleaning products including toilet products and washing up liquid. Arrivals are after 4pm and departures by 10am. We bought the properties, now known as ANJOU: SOLEIL & LYS in 2002 and spent over 12 months renovating the barns into superb luxury holiday accommodation for guests.
