Once a wine producing estate, ‘La Bellevue’ has been lovingly restored and provides two characteristic cottages each with their own rustic elegance and comfort. Located between Chinon and Saumur, ‘La Bellevue’ is ideally placed for discovering the daily markets, weekend Brocantes (flea-markets) and the stunning towns set along the edge of the Loire river. Nearby are the historical towns of Angers, Chenonceau, Fontevraud l’Abbaye, Montsoreau, Montreuil-Bellay, Saumur, Tours, Villandry. Wine enthusiasts wishing to enhance their knowledge can experience a true French wine-tasting at a highly reputed Domaine in the company of Gérald Beaumont, a bilingual French wine professional.

Our first visit to France could not have been more pleasant. On arrival we were greeted openly even though we were early. It was evident that both Sarah-Jane & Gérald care passionately about family, wine & traditional French values. For wine lovers take the wine tour with Gérald, it is truly eye opening and underpins why French wine is still the best in the world. On a personal note thank you to you both for your hospitality and for sending us home more relaxed than after a back rub. Gérald, you truly get British humour. Sarah-Jane, you are an excellent host. During a 2 week reservation a cottage clean, change of bed & household linen, bathroom towels and the replacement of cottage essentials is included ~ To confirm a reservation a 50% non-refundable deposit is required, the remaining balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. ~ As a cautionary measure against any damage & breakages to the cottage/cottage items a retainer of 150€ is required on arrival. The retainer is refundable after a cottage inspection and the cottage keys returned on the morning of departure. ~ Arrival to 'Annie's House' is from 17h00 onwards. ~ Departure from 'Annie's House' is at 10h00. ~ During a 2 week reservation a cottage clean, change of bed, bathroom and household linen is included. ~ The cottage is not suitable for babies or children. ~ We regret no pets are allowed. ~ Smoking is not permitted. ** From November to mid-March there will be a small additional charge for heating requirements **
