Luxury Bed & Breakfast. Built in local 'tuffeau' stone, Les Peupliers (the Poplars) has been lovingly restored to provide five tastefully furnished guest bedrooms in its own separate wing, each with private facilities. Ideally situated in the peaceful countryside yet only minutes from Montsoreau, Fontevraud and Saumur. Guests can enjoy the use of the heated outdoor pool, bicycles or just relax in the pretty gardens. Gourmet meals are provided by the resident professional chef using produce from Les Peupliers organic vegetable garden and relaxing beauty treatments are available for the ultimate in pampering. This guesthouse is for adults only.

    • Set within pretty gardens, the 10m x 5m heated pool is a great place to relax. There is a pool-side therapy room where guests can enjoy a pampering massage or facial treatment from a qualified therapist. We have bicycles that guests can borrow to discover the local countryside and villages or for a more quieter life, chairs and benches dotted around the gardens. There is a guest refrigerator in the breakfast room to keep things cool. There are tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryers in every room and dvd players in the Hayloft rooms. Rooms are cleaned every day, towels changed every 3 days and linen once a week.

    • Les Peupliers cookery Master Classes are small, intimate affairs with a maximum of 4 guests per class to ensure individual attention.  
    They run from 4.00pm-6.30pm and during that time you will learn how to prepare and cook your own 3 course meal for that evening. 
    Mike will teach you skills such as knife techniques for vegetables, how to prepare delicious sauces for either fish or meat, mouth watering desserts, wonderful starters and presentation skills. There is plenty of opportunity for hands-on work as well as demonstrations from chef. 
    The cuisine is international after Mike's extensive travels around the world, but with an emphasis on classic French cuisine with a modern twist. 
    Mike's informal and light-hearted approach to the classes makes for an enjoyable time for all as well as learning lots of new skills that can then be recreated at home.

Betweem 4-8 weeks notice, 50% refund of the deposit. Less than four weeks notice, refund is non-returnable unless the room can be re-let. MINIMUM 2 NIGHT STAY
