3 cottages and a B&B room in 2 acres of land on a hilltop overlooking vineyards and beautiful countryside.

Vacation Rental Description

The cottages are ideal for individual lettings or for larger groups. They are converted from buildings around the foundations of an old windmill in beautifully tranquil grounds of mainly grass, shrubs and trees. There is a swimming pool, which is open from June until early September and plenty of space for a game of boules or to find a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the panoramic views.

A 10 min walk from Moulin de la Placette takes you to the village centre with its patisserie/boulangerie, mini-market and bar. A larger supermarket can be found at Thouarcé, a 5 min drive away. Faye d’Anjou is a good base from which to explore chateaux and vineyards. The area is ideal for walkers, cyclists, artists and photographers.

Nearby is Brissac-Quincé with lovely chateau and grounds, restaurants, horse riding, bike hire, and golf. The town of Angers, with fortified castle, wonderful tapestries and excellent shopping, is 25 min drive, and Saumur, famous for its chateau, sparkling wine, and home to the Cadre Noir, a 35 min drive. River swimming and canoeing is 20 min away at Rochefort-sur-Loire. The sandy Atlantic beaches at La Baule and Sables d’Olonne are about 2 hours away. Poitiers, with fascinating Futuroscope, a 90 min drive.

The windmill separates our house from the cottages and does not overlook them.

The cottages are centrally heated, well furnished and the kitchens are equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, hobs, ovens, kettles, and coffee makers
