Vacation Rental Description
Les Chaumieres Campagnardes is a longere that consists of 3 cottages ; -
two sleeping 8 persons and one sleeping 6 persons.
We are situated in a quiet hamlet near St Julien de Vouvantes and 15mins from Chateaubriant, in Loire Atlantique, equidistance from the airports at Nantes, Angers and Rennes and within a few hours drive of many ports eg. St Malo, Caen, Cherbourg, Roscoff, La Havre, Dieppe, Calais etc.
Set in 2.5 acres of a private garden with mature fruit trees. Our garden is totally child friendly. The swimming pool is solar heated and fully enclosed for the security of children. There is also a sun terrace, sun loungers, play area & play house, boules court, on site fishing and a small bar/chilling area.
Local amenities are a restaurant, mini market, pharmacy, boulangerie, 2 bars and the 2nd largest church in Loire Atlantique after Nantes cathedral !
Surrounding lakes are perfect for swimming, boating, fishing to french national standard. The area is also ideally situated for walking, cycling, painting, bird watching, water skiing, horse riding, visiting chateaux and churches etc. There are 2 beaches within 15kms and you can be by the sea within 75mins.

Fishing equipment and bait supplied free of charge. You will also be given a run through on the art of fishing by Ray until you are happy to go 'solo'! Also included is free bike hire ( we do not supply safety equipment)with local maps.
When you arrive you will be invited to our free reception drinks where you will meet your neighbours and we can give you the low-down on what is happening locally durig your holiday.

- Travel Info: You come to us either by ferry from Calais ( 5.5hrs), LeHarve/Caen (3.5hrs) or St Malo (1.5hrs) or fly into Dinard or Nantes via RyanAir or Rennes via FlyBe. Airport transfer can be arranged at an extra cost. Alternatively you can travel via EuroStar. The best route is to change in Lille as you stay in the same station and there is an Irish Bar on the platform !
