Detached, comfortable, self contained, centrally heated, 16th century stone built cottage.
Vacation Rental Description
Our beautiful cottage is set in a quiet countryside location with excellent views. We have tried to make it a home from home so you will be able to relax and enjoy your stay. Many of our guests are happy to spend their holiday staying in the garden and playing in the pool but if you want to venture out and about there is so much to see and do you are spoilt for choice. Whilst this is a rural location we are just half an hour from the cities of Le Mans and Laval so you have the benefit of the countryside but you are not too far from civilisation. Outside facilities:
The completely fenced garden is a 3.5 acre site with over 1 acre dedicated to the gite, there is a private patio area with BBQ behind the cottage with table and chairs. The above ground swimming pool is 5M in diameter with a security ladder, housed within a fenced area that can be locked if required. The pool is usually available from June to September and is for the exclusive use of the guests. There are a couple of sun loungers, by the pool to relax on.
Play area for children consisting of swings, slide, rope walkway, rope ladders, tyres in tree, hammock etc.
Facilities
La Bonne Marie sleeps 4 – 6 people. 2 Double bedrooms sleep 4 but with a double sofa bed could sleep a further 2 people. The second bedroom has a double bed with a single bed above (so this room could actually accomodate 3), we do also have a cot that fits in the second bedroom. There is a large open plan area containing the lounge, kitchen and dining area. Kitchen contains all crockery, knives, forks spoons and glasses for a minimum of 8 people. There is a gas cooker, fridge with small freezer section. Washing and drying facilities for clothes can be provided at an extra charge. Ironing board and iron are provided. This cottage is meant to be a home from home therefore you will find: UK tv, dvd & cd player, small tv with built in video player. Selection of DVD’s and CD’s. High chair – on request. Leather massage chair. Large shower room. Linen and towels can be provided (separate charge applies)
Activities
You are ideally situated to explore the Mayenne or the Sarthe regions, or travel a little further a field to the Loire valley – the vineyards of the Anjou grape (just 1 hour from here) or Saumur (approx 1.5 hours from here). Le Mans is just half an hour away, it is famous for the 24 hour racing (June and July) however there are events at the track from April to October, as well as an excellent motor museum.
We have many wonderful planned walks in the area, we are able to organise fishing facilities locally or try your hand at rock climbing at Saulge canyon - which is just 5 minutes drive from here. There is so much to do that most people say a week's holiday is just not enough.
When you book your holiday with us we will send full tourist information on the area but if there is something that particulary interests you then let us know and we will research it for you before your arrive.

20% deposit to be paid when booking and balance to be paid in full 6 weeks before holiday date. Elecricity is metered and charged at the end of your stay. Cheques in sterling to be made out to D Worboys. A £100 deposit cheque will be required to cover potential breakages or cleaning costs. This will be returned after a full inspection of the property. For Christmas and Easter there is no surcharge. Terms and conditions available on request. Cancellation charges will apply - we require a minimum of 4 weeks notice to cancel - less than this may mean no refund can be made. We will always attempt to re-sell the holiday period and if sucessful we would happily refund your money.
