    • This is a typical farming area of Northern France. There are numerous walks and cycling is a good mode of transport for the fit and healthy! Historically there is alot to be seen. Very close is the village of Agincourt, where the French were defeated by the British and every year there is a re-enactment of this battle.
    One can sit in the squares of the small towns of Hesdin and FRuges and observe the french way of life.
    Every town has a market day where the locals come to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables.
    In the summer all these towns have antiques markets where one can find all kinds of items from a by gone era.
    Travelling a little further afield , there are larger towns with magnificent architecture.
    Paris is 2 hours drive and Calais and Bolougne ports are only 1 hour away.

    For a restful, peaceful holiday this area is perfect or if you are en-route why not spend some time exploring this little known area of France.
