Touzac itself is a relatively small community, which in the summer season swells with tourists. In recent months the Auberge de Touzac has opened under new management and now offers numerous services, from bread, to convenience shopping, local cheeses, Charcuterie, papers, bar, brasserie and even a small brocante. It’s the French equivalent to one stop shopping.
This arrangement would suit someone who perhaps enjoys travel and would welcome the opportunity to pass a spring month in one of the prettiest parts of France. The lot Valley is most famous for its extensive Medieval History, Chateaux, and Villages and of course the Cahors AOC Wine. The midi Pyrenees set a magnificent back drop to the Lot River as it meanders its way lazily through pretty villages and vineyards. The lot valley has its own micro climate and whilst it’s raining 10 kms away it can be brilliant sunshine in the valley. Each village boasts its own history, with cobbled streets and alleys nestled between precariously perched town houses. Each year, it seems, the party gets bigger. Village festivals for music, wine, regional produce, fairgrounds, brocante and more, as each village takes its turn to be "en fete". The region has attracted the artist community for many years and it is easy to see why, as with every corner you turn another beautiful canvas unfolds.
However, if you are of a more sporty persuasion, there are plenty of extreme and moderate sports to get your teeth into: Abseiling, Cycling, Fishing, Hiking, Horse riding, Kayaking, Parascending, Quad Bikes and so on. You name it and I bet they do it here.
And for the wine connoisseurs amoungst you, the vineyards here operate an open door policy for wine tasting, which is unrivalled and a great way to find your particular favourite.
Although the Bungalow is set in the gardens of the main house, the garden area is private and exclusive, set at a different level. The Terrace looks out onto the pool area and is linked by a direct path. The play area is set next to the bungalow and the trampoline is set into the ground for safety. Some toys are provided, both inside the bungalow and in the play area.
