Vacation Rental Description
A large 5 bedroom house with 'fenced pool' in a village in South West France which sleeps up to 12 people. The house at Montgesty is located in the beautiful Bouriane region presiding over the Lot Valley, a mere 20 minutes drive from the cathedral City of Cahors. Montgesty, with superb views of oak and walnut laden hills, is a village of natural, idyllic beauty, and just a short distance from one of the region’s most famous restaurants, Le Recreation at Les Arques, made famous by the best-selling book, ‘From here you can’t see Paris.’ The house is perfect for large gatherings with spacious traditional kitchen and two living rooms, one with a large sofa bed and one with an extra double bed. The house has a separate flat on the ground floor included in the rental, perfect to escape the heat and for those who don't like stairs. With three bathrooms and three separate WCs the house is well equipped to cater for larger groups and family gatherings. There's a shop and bar next door which sells fresh bread and Stella Artois in equal quantities!
Facilities
The house has a baby travel cot, pram, baby chair and microwave for baby milk, and there are lots of fans, including two ceiling fans to keep you cool in hotter weather.
Activities
The house is well equipped for cyclists with six bikes suitable for men and women and kids from 9 years upwards. Apart from the meandering Lot river which is only a ten minute drive away which has boating, kayaking and launches for hire, the nearby town of Catus has a manmade lake with pedloes, canoes, tennis courts, volley ball, and a kids play ground, plus a delightful cafe/restaurant. For the real foodies, there are two exceptional restaurants with 10km; Le Recreation at Les Arques, and the michelin starred Le Gindreau at St Medard, but pricey at 100 euros a head!

We would like 30% of the charge paid in advance, with the balance paid two months in advance of your arrival, when we will send you the keys. Cancellations within two months of your arrival date forfeits the deposit in full. Cancellation before 2 months of your expected arrival date, and will return 50% of your deposit.
