La Fountaine is located in the beautiful region of the Lot valley in S.W. France. A wonderful get away in rural countryside, it is a popular destination for couples, families, groups of friends and the cave diving community. Les Mazettes is set in glorious unspoilt countryside with green fields, woodland, vineyards, farmland, historic hill-top bastide towns and colourful French markets. Step back in time and visit some of the stunning chateaux or medieval towns such as Rocamadour, Sarlat, Cahors and St Cirq Lapopre. Marvel at the ingenuity of ancient man and visit their intriguing settlements hewn into the rock faces. And, if your interest lies more "underground," cave divers will find themselves spoilt for choice with a wealth of diving tours to choose from such as Truffe, St George, St Sauveur and Cabouy, for example. The region offers facilities for all ages and interests; leisure lakes, water sports, cultural events and gastronomic delights. There is plenty of action to keep children amused such as aerial walking, wall-climbing, theme and animal parks. It is an ideal area for walking and cycling or, if you prefer a more relaxing time, simply enjoy a lazy canoe trip on the river Dordogne.

The Dordogne river is well know for its canoeing. Minimum age is 5 years old. A great day out for the entire family, take a picnic and have fun. A 25% deposit is required at time of booking, which is totally none refundable unless the Owner can find a replacement booking. We also require a 150 euro security deposit to be paid at time of final payment, which is refunded within 2 weeks of the last day of the holiday, subject to an accountable deduction for any damages caused. Payment in Euros by transfer to a bank account. No credit cards accepted.
