This charming stone house has been sympathetically renovated to provide ample living space for 6 + people. The house used to be the old post office when Fajoles was more of a working village. The front part of the house dates from the 15th-16th centuries.

Downstairs:
· The ‘salon’ or living room has exposed stone walls and beams, with a wood burning fireplace ‘cantou’ and stone sink ‘souillarde’. Two sofas (one is a double sofa bed), TV (English satellite), DVD player, books and games. Oil central heating.
· Open plan kitchen and dining room with brand new fitted kitchen, electric oven, three gas and one electric burners, fridge with separate freezer compartment, dishwasher. Long wooden refectory style dining table and six chairs (easily seats eight people). Traditional French 'buffet' (sideboard).
· Utility room with washing machine and downstairs toilet.

Upstairs:
· Front bedroom – king size iron bedframe, fitted wardrobe.
· Ensuite shower, sink and toilet.
· Middle bedroom – double futon sofa bed, walk-in closet. French doors open onto a balcony (and separate exit).
· Ensuite full bathroom, plus shower, sink, toilet.
· Back bedroom – two single beds, fitted wardrobe.
· Ensuite shower, sink and toilet.
The house has been tastefully decorated, with colours carefully chosen to add warmth and light. The furnishings are the owners’ and create a relaxing atmosphere for an enjoyable holiday.

Exterior
In the front yard, a picnic table and chairs, with space to barbecue. The house also boasts a separate mature garden just down the lane, to which you have sole access with a key. Plenty of space for sunbathing or meals outside. You can enjoy the fruit and walnut trees, listen to the chickens and the donkey in the farm behind! Long winter lets. Oil central heating, also provides the hot water. The fireplace can be used – though ordering the wood is left to the tenant.

The area is ideal for walking, cycling, swimming or touring. The nearby towns of Gourdon and Sarlat are steeped in history and host cultural festivals during the summer bringing theatre, jazz and art to life. Local restaurants are well known for their fine food and wines. You can explore chateaux, churches, monasteries and underground caves, as well as the local markets. Travel further south to Cahors, the centre of the Lot, with its famous wines.
The Dordogne river provides sunbathing on the cobble stone beaches, with swimming in the river and the chance to rent canoes for the day. Take a canoe from nearby St Julien de Lampon and be dropped back in the bus. There are water parks in Souillac and Payrac; animal parks, including the famous Foret des Singes (monkey park) and a Prehistoparc. Hire bicycles, arrange to go horse riding, or simply set out on foot for a walk through breathtaking countryside. For the golfer, there is the Souillac Country Club, with its 18 hole course.
