4 Bedroom Manor in Lannemezan

Au Chateau is situated on the site of a mediaeval motte and baillie providing commanding views of the surrounding countryside and the snow capped Pyrenees beyond. The manor lies within the hamlet of Luby Betmont which consists of a church, a few other houses and several farm buildings. The house is surrounded by 4.5 acres of mature gardens which are attended by a local gardener who also maintains the beautiful pool area outside the house. 
 
The house offers extensive accommodation for up to twelve people holidaying together making it ideal for large families or groups of friends. There are two large drawing rooms, a dining room, five bedrooms (one with bunk beds, one with twin beds), a TV/games room, a well-equipped kitchen, three baths (one bath and twin wash hand basins in master bedroom) and three more wcs. 
 
The house boasts a superb pool (with security alarm) and gardens which are more than enough to keep children occupied. In addition to this there are also facilities for table tennis, a playstation and Sky television if the weather should be poor and they need to be entertained indoors. 
 
The kitchen has a double electric oven and a gas hob. There is a large American style fridge / freezer, a dishwasher and in the utility area a washing machine and tumble drier. All crockery, cutlery and kitchen towels are provided. To maintain the standard of accommodation we stipulate that no pets are allowed. 
 
There are radiators in each room. In addition to this there are also three large fireplaces in the dining room and both drawing rooms. Electricity, gas and heating are all included in the tariff.

The house will be clean when you arrive and beds will be made up. Pool towels and kitchen towels are included but you will have to bring your own bath and hand towels. If you are staying for more than one week the linen will be changed at the mid-point of your stay.

The south west of France is famous for its gourmet food, full-bodied wines and Armagnac. Fois gras is the local delicacy and you will see numerous farms advertising it.  
 
The whole region is ideal for walkers. Many of the towns and villages have listed churches, museums and large country parks.  
 
Mirande, in the heart of Gascony is only a half hour drive from Luby Betmont. Gascony, famous for "Leno d'Artagnan" one of the three musketeers, has a lot to offer the tourist who enjoys the outdoors and is particularly popular with fishing, horse riding, mountain biking and golfing enthusiasts. There are many festivals taking place during the year in the region. Visit the local tourist information office for more details. The ski resorts of St. Lary-Soulan and Bagneres-De-Luchon are approximately forty-five minutes away, as is the sanctuary at Lourdes. 
 
Trie is the nearest village. It has shops and a market every Tuesday morning.
