We welcome you to stay in the distinguished comfort and luxury of our stunning 19th century Chateau. A 3 star rated property by Gites De France. Located in the beautiful village of Salechan, nestling at the foothills of the Pyrenean Mountains this lovingly restored home away from home can offer you a choice of 5 large luxurious rooms all with en-suite facilities, and stunning views of the mountains. Built in 1893 the three storey house stands back from the Route Nationale and is completely enclosed and private. The front of the house has an element of grandeur with its imposing marble columns and balcony. Inside a sweeping staircase through the middle of the house, original parquet flooring, and a different marble fireplace in each room are just some of the delights that await you. 
 
Each of our 5 beautiful rooms are named after the stunning picturesque views that can be seen from them. 
 
At the front of our house the Chambre St Julien encourages you to step out onto two private balconies one of which overlooks the Pyrenees towards the beautiful Spa town of Bagneres De Luchon. This south facing room is spacious in size, and full of character with a lovingly restored original ceiling, original parquet flooring, and a stunning marble fireplace. It has a bathroom equipped with bath and shower which also opens onto a private south facing balcony. 
Also sitting proudly at the front of the house is the Chambre Pic Du Gar. With its grand balcony and stunning views of Pic du Gar this centrally positioned room will provide you with comfort and tranquillity.  
The room is extremely spacious with a lovely high ceiling and a beautiful wooden floor. The original fireplace and tasteful neutral decoration make this room one of the favourites amongst guests. 
Chambre Pic du Gar also boasts a large walk in shower in an en-suite which runs the length of the room, and benefits from double doors which open out onto the private balcony.  
 
We have 2 recently refurbished family suites available. Comprising of a large double room and an adjoining room with space for up to 3 beds (or cots) and a large ensuite with bath and shower. A perfect room for families or a group wishing to share a room. 
 
We welcome you to join us for breakfast in our beautifully wood panelled dining room. With doors that can open out onto a tiled terrace in the summer it is a truly stunning room in which to eat your sumptuous continental breakfast making a great start to your day.  
 
By prior arrangement we look forward to welcoming you to our dinner table for your evening meal. We will provide a 3 course meal sampling local delicacies, wine & bread. Your host for the evening has been catering for many years now, and we recommend you sample the food from 'the best dining room in the area' as a recent guest quoted.  
 
The large enclosed Garden is yours to be enjoyed. There is a seperate childrens garden with a 14ft trampoline with safety net, a small above ground pool perfect for the children, swings and a sandpit. Also we can offer plenty of space in which to sit back and relax away from the play area, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Pyrenees.  
 
We have a large area for car parking and an indoor area for cycles and ski equipment. 
 
 
 

You will be guaranteed a warm welcome in this family home, we have 3 children ourselves and appreciate you may not wish to carry lots of equipment on your trip. For that reason we will be happy to provide travel cot, highchair, baby changing table, pushchairs, and toys and games a plenty. We also can provide sets of first skis for those budding young ski-ers!! We also have baby monitors to enable you to relax at night knowing the little ones are ok. The house is non smoking, but a smoking area is available, unfortunately pets are not permitted.

Fantastically located at the foothills of the Pyrenees La Lanette is a perfect base for outdoor adventurers young and old alike. Within walking distance or just a short drive away our region boasts a vast selection of outdoor pursuits and cultural interests to suit all tastes. Some of the activities you may wish to try include walking, fishing, cycling, rafting, canyoning, skiing and parapenting. Or if you prefer history and architecture there are plenty of delights for you to discover. 
 
 
If ski-ing or snowboarding are your passion then look no further! Within an hours drive you will find 5 resorts catering for all levels of skier. 
If cycling is your passion the whole area lends itself beautifully for VTT or road cycling. We are conviniently situated for lots of the major Cols regularly used on the Tour De France, such as Col De Portillon, Port De Bales and Col Des Ares.
