This classic Presbytery dates from 1765 and has been sympathetically restored to create a sense of originality from the sagging floorboards to the 'colombage' walls. It is located in Lodes a small village of farms situated one and a quarter hours drive from Toulouse airport (Blagnac) reached by EasyJet from London Gatwick or Bristol or via The house has a rural setting next to the village church but is within easy reach(10km) of the local town (St Gaudens) with all amenities. It offers privacy and tranquillity broken only by church and cow bells in a pretty garden with a swimming pool, barn and orchard and many areas outside in which to relax.
The area is typified by the rolling hills of the Petit Pyrenees dotted with farms, rivers and woodland. Situated close by is the Roman Villa of Montmaurin and the Gorges De Save with a Foret Domenial and arboretum within walking distance. There are many opportunities for walking and sightseeing in the local market towns and hilltop villages. The slopes of the Pyrenees are an hour and a quarter distant with wonderful skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. It is only one and a half hours to the Mediterranean and two to the Atlantic and the house is perfectly located for the historic cities of Carcasonne, Biarritz and Toulouse. Spain 1 hours drive

Up the original wide staircase at the end of the hall there is a shower room with loo on the half landing before another wide hall running the length of the house. Off this there are 3 large double bedrooms two facing over the front of the house.
The front door opens on to a wide entrance hall running to the back of the house. Off this space is a dining room (sits 10). On the other side of the hall is a double drawing room 30' x 15' with access to the rear of the property with TV with English.
Linen included but not towels excepting pool towels.
There is an optional newly converted attic space comprising a double bedroom with en suite bathroom and study room with extra bed taking in the whole top floor. This option is available for an extra £250 per week.
The bedrooms are very large and all have views. However the house is very old and quite delicate, not just a 'holiday let' containing some fine furniture.
