Chateau de Floran with its 12th century origins offers comfortable accommodation with up to 5 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and open plan ground floor living. Situated 1 km from the village of Latoue with its lakes and close to the foothills and mountains of the Pyrenees.
Chateau de Floran has been divided into two, with the west wing providing spacious accommodation for up to 10 people. The open plan living opens through double doors to the outside seating area providing al fresco dining. The 10 x 5 swimming pool is close by for swimming, sunbathing or taking that quick dip when the temperatures soar. Bordered by half a kilometre of its own river and set in 20 acres the area provides the oppurtunity for many activities and a tranquil holiday.
Our newly opened and refurbished Chateau has living on three levels. The ground floor with light and airy living offers all modern conveniences to facilitate enjoying a relaxed and happy holiday. The open plan kitchen / diner / living opens to the outside with large doors to access the outside seating area.
The swimming pool makes enjoying the beautiful countryside a pleasure. The main central stone staircase leads to the next two floors. Each floor has three fully refurbished light and airey bedrooms and a bathroom with good quality fittings.
We only let the one part of the Chateau and we the owners holiday in the east wing when we are in the South of France, this ensures a quiet and relaxing holiday for all the family. The Chateau grounds have numerous pine, popular and oak trees that offer wonderful shaded areas for reading and painting. The river Noue runs along the Southern perimeter of the garden and has fish in abundence, the trout is delicious!!

The beautiful village of Latoue has a large fishing lake, play area, tennis courts and picnic area to keep the family busy. The little bar opens three days a week and is very friendly.
Further out diverse and exilerating activities can be explored; from the old castle ruin in Aurignac to local restaurants, cheese and foir gras producing farms. St Gaudens has everything - good shopping, weekly market (Thursday) and supermarkets making life easy.
Drive a little further and experience the foothills and mountains of the Pyrenees National Park. A Day in Luchon may inspire those would be skiers and maybe try the mountain biking, hand gliding or just relax in the thermal baths. The area is fantastic and renowned for cycling, walking and other outdoor pursuits such as whitewater rafting, canoeing and horse riding.
