Domaine Ginestous is idyllically and quietly situated just below a hill top at an altitude of 500 metres, near the little village of La Bastide l'Evêque, in beautiful countryside, surrounded by woods and several streams and rivers.

Our cottage 'Clair Matin'can be let all the year round, offering the biggest accommodation and lots of comfort.
It's a spacious cottage and can accommodate up to six persons. Because we replaced the windows into larger ones, you have the benefit from a panoramic view over the Aveyron valley.This cottage has its own big and very private terrace facing south, with an authentic oven for bread and an old well.
On the ground floor you'll find a sun lounge/conservatory with direct access to the terrace; a large living-room with a French interior and a lovely fireplace with build-in wood stove; a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for preparing a real French meal.
In a half-timbered house, which has a direct connection with the living-room, you'll find the bathroom.
On the upper floor you'll find an extra toilet, three bedrooms with very comfortable beds and an extra balcony offering a terrific view over the Aveyron valley with its marvellous sunsets.
Downstairs has a tiled floor and upstairs has a parquet floor. All rooms have central heating on wood. Firewood is available.

Our prices include fire-wood, use of our machines, linen, detergents, soaps and the cost for fuel, electricity, water and gas for cooking.
Your dog has his holiday for free.

Around La Bastide there are many hiking trails, also a Roman footpath and a GR-route (that finally leads to Santiago da Compostella). From Ginestous you can walk in about an hour to the river below (the Aveyron), where you'll come across an old tower, dating from the French-English war and an old Roman bridge by the river. Hikingmaps and travelbooks are available.
The area is absolutely perfect for biking. The 'Tour de France' passed through our village only 2008.
