Vacation Rental Description

Both gites are identical with 4 bedrooms (2 double & 2 twin) and 2 bathrooms. The downstairs bedroom and shower room is wheelchair accessable. The gites have been renovated using low-allergen materials and are simply but tastefully furnished. We provide eco-cleaning products and supply an easy to use recycling system.
All rooms have electric radiators and fans. Viaur gite has a traditional Godin wood burning stove for off-season rentals. Each has a private enclosed garden with a connecting gate for use when both gites are booked by the same group. We are an ideal venue for families with young children or groups of friends.
We also have two workshop spaces (one indoor and one outdoor) for groups who wish to run residential courses.

We can provide all the necessary equipment for babies and toddlers (we are listed with TOTstofrance which personally vet every gite) and can provide babysitting in the evenings. The children's play area includes swings, slide, sandpit, cabin, trampoline, table tennis, babyfoot, basketball, and boules. Both gites have private enclosed gardens with patios, BBQs and outdoor dining furniture. We provide a welcome box which includes organic produce from our garden and eggs from our free-range hens. Our pets include a dog, cat, donkey and 2 shetland ponies, all of whom are very friendly and are usually adored by visitors.

A wide variety of sporting activities for all age ranges and abilities are available within 15 min drive. We are located in the midst of a network of cycling/hiking paths which are clearly marked and graded according to level of difficulty. The countryside around us is stunning and there are many walks immediately on our doorstep. Our river, La Serene, is a perfect spot for paddling whilst 10 mins away is the Viaur river which runs through the most spectacular wilderness and is perfect for swimming, whilst the Aveyron river is great for canoeing.
We are surrounded by beautiful medieval towns - Najac, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Villefranche de Rouergue, St-Antonin-Noble-Val, Albi, Figeac, Cahors, are all within one hour's drive. Nearby Gaillac has 150 vineyards for wine-tasting.

Genuinely child friendly gites

Les Aleis has been our home since 2001 when our eldest child was 2 years old so everything has been designed with toddlers and children in mind. As parents we know that as long as the kids are safely occupied the adults can sit back and relax. Visitors always love the pool which is fenced and heated with plenty of shade for little ones. However, it's our animals which are always seem to be favourites - particularly Gordon our dog and Timmy the cat who always get adoring messages in the visitors books.
Although we live in a rural paradise there are plenty of activities nearby for all age ranges and interests. People who come for only one week always regret it and wish they had more time to explore the area as well as just chilling out and experiencing that increasingly rare "quality time" with family and friends.
Apart from the stunning scenery and an amazing choice of medieval towns most visitors mention swimming in the Viaur River as a highlight of their holiday (along with its riverside creperie which has live jazz in the evenings). A truly unique experience.
