This converted farmhouse with traditional pigeonnier and open sided barn has been carefully restored & retains many original features. It offers comfortable accommodation for 8. Accessible directly from the garden the kitchen has a traditional fireplace with a wood burning stove, a large dining table & chairs and a range of kitchen units & appliances. It is very well supplied with ample crockery, glassware & kitchen equipment, even for the most enthusiastic cooks.

The master bedroom opens off the kitchen with its window onto the garden. There is a double bed, wardrobe with shelves & bedside tables. The ensuite bathroom is fully tiled and has a bath with shower attachment, basin, bidet & w.c.

Accessible from a staircase via the kitchen the sitting room has beautiful views over the garden. There is a double sofabed offering flexibility to the accommodation. A doorway leads to the south facing terrace with table & chairs for 8 & an external staircase leading to the garden. The corridor leading to bedrooms 2 & 3 opens off the sitting room. A travel cot,high chair & stair gate are available.

Bedroom 2 has a double bed, large built in wardrobe,cupboard with drawers & bedside table.

Bedroom 3 is a large room with a double bed & 2 single beds, a wardrobe, storage unit, dressing & bedside tables.

The upstairs shower room is fully tiled & has an enclosed shower, wash hand basin & w.c.

The open sided barn serves as a secure covered parking area for 3 to 4 cars. It doubles as a play area for children in the shade or if it rains.

The Kitchen has a five ring gas cooker & very large oven, a combination oven and equipment including a food processor, electric hand whisk and plenty of cookware and bakeware, a pasta maker,fondue set & raclette set. There is a Weber barbecue, ample garden furniture,sun loungers & sun shades. Wi fi internet connection is included in the rental. There is a Pioneer hifi, a CD player & radios. Sanvensa, 2 miles away has shops offering the basics. La Fouillade (5 miles) has an excellent butcher, baker & general store as well a small supermarket. For major shopping you may prefer to go to Villefranche (8 miles) where there is a wide range of shops in the old town as well as 3 supermarkets and out of town shopping. Don't miss Thursday morning market. There is a wide choice of restaurants both in Villefranche, Najac and other surrounding villages. Bed linen, towels & tea towels are provided. Please bring your own swimming towels.

The Aveyron is one of the largest departments & one of the least populated. Few regions can boast a richer variety of historic sites, dating back to pre-historic times, or a more varied and dramatic landscape, from volcanic plateaux to limestone causses, from magnificent gorges to pleasant valleys.

The fortified town of Villefranche, founded in 1252, sits on the righr bank of the Aveyron. To the south the river flows through the dramatic gorge after passing picturesque villages such as Najac & St Antonin de Noble Val.

Half day & day visits: Albi, famous for Toulouse Lautrec & its brick cathedral, the historic county town of Rodez, the fabulous regional capital of Toulouse, Figeac & St Cirque la Popie are among a few of the treasures to visit.
