Beautifully restored 17th Century Earl’s house. The gite is situated in a peaceful and pretty hamlet at the border of the Tarn and the Aveyron. Close to the picturesque medieval villages of Cordes, Najac and Sauveterre de Rouergue. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes, forests and water in magnificently varied nature. Countless numbers of medieval villages and towns, kilometres of hiking paths and rivers make this region a special vacation destination. The gite is very comfortable and tastefully decorated and is suitable for up to 6 people. The river Viaur flows right through the front yard so you can conveniently swim or exercise other water sports there. A village with all amenities is 2km away, Albi 30 minutes and Toulouse and Rodez 1 hour. 
 
Accomodation: 
The ground floor includes a fully equipped open kitchen and a living room with sliding doors to private terrace and private garden. The room is light and nicely decorated: french traditional wooden dining table for 6. Comfortable sitting corner with beautiful traditional piano. There is a toilet next to the staircase going to the first floor. 
The bedrooms are located on the first floor: 2 twin bedrooms, 1 of which has sliding doors to a spacious balcony. 
1 double bedroom and a modern bathroom with 2 washbasins, a shower and a washing machine. 
1 set of house and bed linen per person per week is included in price.  
 
The whole gite is equiped with electrical central heating. 
 
There is a large garden area behind the house with garden furniture making this a perfect place to eat or just relax. Barbecue available. Parking place is near the entrance of the house. Garden furniture is also available near the river in the front garden with a magnificient view over hamlet.

The gite is very comfortable and tastefully decorated and is suitable for up to 6 people. Hob/stove oven/fridge/freezer/dishwasher/washing machine/iron/ironing board central heating/ cot/high chair/barbecue/mountain bikes/kayacks.

The small city of Carmaux is 15 minutes away with all amenities: a weekly market (Friday), several excellent restaurants and many good shopping facilities, including 2 large supermarkets. Albi is 30 minutes away and Toulouse is 1 hour away.  
 
Swimming is also possible in the 'Lac de la Roucarié' 10km away from the house where there is a beach. Facilities for tennis, golf, horse-riding or canoe trips are available within 30 minutes of the house. 
 
The area offers many opportunities for cultural activities: during your stay, you can visit Albi with its beautifull cathedral and Toulouse Lautrec museum, but also the lovely middle age villages of Najac, Cordes sur Ciel, Saint Antonin de Noble Val etc. During the summer, you will enjoy the colorful markets in Albi, Carmaux and Sauveterre de Rouergue where you can find fresh local products.
