Vacation Rental Description
Le Bouyssou (previously a rural farm dating from the 1840's) is situated on the border of the Aveyron and Lot departments, La Berberie is a stone barn conversion in the extensive grounds of Le Bouyssou, offering spacious quality accommodation, beautiful stylish interiors, private terraces and gardens. It is a haven of peace and tranquility, completely surrounded by fields, woodland and beautiful valley vistas. The acccommodation is arranged on two floors, both accessable from the lower ground and upper level.It features on the ground floor a large well equipped Kitchen, large range style cooker (five gas rings, two electric ovens) "Belfast " type double sink and all the equipment you would expect in you own home. The internal stable door leads to the dining room with oak table seating eight comfortably. Sep down to the sitting room with wood burning stove, satellite TV with UK freeview chanells, comforable seating for six and french doors leading to a covered terrace.
On the first floor, "Chambre Beatrice"is the first double bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room (which) also has its own private terrace. "Chambre Josephine" the second double bedroom, also has a king size bed and en-suite shower room. "Chambre Madeleine" the third bedroom has twin beds which can be converted to a super king if required. The family Bathroom, with independent access, has a cast iron roll top bath with hand shower attachment, hand basin, a WC and bidet.
Facilities
Le bouyssou sits in 15,000m2 of land, La Bergerie (the Barn)has its own private garden, a seperate BBQ area and two terraces. Access to the pool area, in front of the sitting room terrace is but a few yards. There is also a large area of grass for ball games, swings and slide adjacent to the organis vegetable garden, seasonal produce (when available) is part of the experience, as are the fresh eggs from the hens. We also have a shaded secret garden for relaxing in. A large car park is also available, as is parking on the ramp to the barn with access to Chambre Beatrice.
Activities
La Bergerie au Bouyssou is superbly located as a base to visit some of the South of France's most stunning scenery and sites, Rocamadour,(one of the most visited sites in France) Cahors, for its fine wine and medieval bridge, famous prehistoric caves "Pech Merle" are less than an hour away and Foissac prehistoric caves are a few minutes down the road, as are a host of bastide towns and villages. The Aveyron department itself can offer you ten of "The Most Beautiful Villages in France" the highest concentration of any department in the country.
Tennis in Figeac and Capdenac, Horse Riding (approx 3km away) Conoeing on the river Cele, just outside Figeac, Fishing on the Lot, Cele and Aveyron, Golf (three courses within one hours drive). During the winter you can access Skiing within one hour thirty minutes from Le Bouyssou. We can also arrange Balloon Flights, weather permitting, from Loupiac.

It was such a pleasure to stay in La Bergerie "au Bouyssou" this summer. We were pleased to be the first guests in your "petit bijoux", we spent two fabulous weeks, which was not enough. Everything was perfectm warm welcome, beautiful barn, so well restored in a glorious place. It is nice decorated and finished with a very high standard. This is the one of the nicest holidays we have in France. We will definitely be back next August. Thomas, Sandra, Hugo et Marie Dupont. Shanghai, China.

Having travelled extensively around the world this is the first holiday to exceed our expectations. A truly beautiful home from home, set in picturesque countryside.
