Vacation Rental Description
The Beech Room is a double bedroom with kingsize sleighbed in an 17th century Ariege farmhouse located 8kms out of Pamiers in the "terrefort" region. As well as the bedroom we offer a large kitchen/living room facility with British satellite TV, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, gas hob, electric oven sofa, table & chairs plus double sink & drainer. All meals, breakfast, lunch & dinner can be catered for, please ask for our menu. The farmhouse is in a sheltered location at the end of a 1km drive with beautiful views from each window. The area is very peaceful and tranquil and an ideal place just to chill out. The nearest Autoroute is A66 which is only 10 minutes from the farmhouse although it is not possible to hear the road.
Breakfast is taken either inside or outside on the sunny south facing terrace or wherever our guests may like in the garden.
The 12m x 6m swimming pool has stunning views over the valley towards a local equestrian centre about 1 mile away and has a number of sun loungers and sun umbrellas for the comfort of our guests.
In the nearby town of Pamiers there are many good restaurants, bars and supermarkets. The area is steeped in Cathar history and many fortications to see like Chateau Montsegur. The nearby pretty town of Mirepoix is a 25 minute drive.
Facilities
Tea & Coffee making facilities and bottled water. Double bedroom downstairs has its own private entrance with kitchen/living room. Parking is possible about 3 metres from the front door. Private sun terrace with chairs and umbrella. The bedroom has an ensuite shower room, with shower, WC and sink. Our guests are able to take walks throughout the 50 acres of farmland and woodland adjacent to the farmhouse. Pets negotiable. Swimming towels can be hired at 1 Euro each. Bath towels & linen provided in the price of the room. Continental breakfast included in the price of the room, but we can provide a full English breakfast.
