La Reverie (The Daydream) nestles secretly down a quiet country lane in its own south-facing gardens of over an acre. Wonderfully rural in aspect and set in a part of Normandy regarded by some as the most beautiful countryside in the world. We hope to attract people who wish to discover the traditional delights and history of the area and who can appreciate the same in La Reverie. A traditional Norman longere, charming and quaint, but with a strong identity, it has been restored to the higest standards and furnished with a subtle mix of the old and the new. Art and antiques vie for attention with superb new plumbing and wiring! We have retained as many original features as possible, including timber beams and areas of exposed stonework. Beautifully comfortable and comprehensively equipped, La Reverie also has a wonderfully extensive library of fiction and non-fiction books. 
 
Why not enjoy a glass or two of wine on the terrace while supper cooks on the barbecue? Or, alternatively, a ten-minute walk will bring you to the friendly village bar and shop. For those who enjoy lazy days by the sea, the endless sandy beaches of the west coast are 25 minutes away.  
 
La Reverie is ideally situated for many popular destinations including; the Normandy Landing Beaches, Bayeux Tapestry, the fabulous Mont-St-Michel, Villedieu-Les-Poeles with its fabulous copper industry and Bell Foundry, the port at Granville, the Scriptorium at Avranches and the beautiful cathedral of Coutances. One particular favourite, with visitors of all ages, is the incredible Zoological Park at Champrepus, just a 10 minute drive away.  
 
So, if you are looking for a romantic, self-catering holiday rental, or just somewhere to relax and unwind, then we believe La Reverie would be very hard to beat. We are proud to offer the house to those clients who are looking for something just a little bit more special.  
 
The accommodation comprises: Large split-level Sitting Room with dining area for 6 people. Double glass doors leading to terrace, stairs to first floor.  
 
Kitchen, modern and comprehensively equipped.  
 
First floor: The Owl Room - double bed, wardrobe and drawers. Door to ensuite facilities with state-of-the-art shower cubicle with jets seemingly everywhere, foot massager, light and radio! Toilet and vanity unit.  
 
The Dragonfly Room - double bed, wardrobe and drawers, adjacent to:- 
 
Bathroom - bath and overhead shower, vanity unit. 
 
The Mole Room - single bed, hanging area and drawers, possibility of child's bed or cot.  
 
Separate WC.

    • We won't charge you for bed linen, towels, electricity or gas. You may wish to bring you own cot linen, although this can be provided for you free of charge. There will be no extra charges to unexpectedly increase the cost of your holiday.* Also supplied are beach towels, beach mats and coolbox for seaside picnics, starter supplies of charcoal for the barbeque, dishwasher and washing tablets, along with a generous welcome hamper with a few essential supplies! *Should it be required, there will be a small supplement for heating between 10th October 2009 and 30th April 2010 of 40 Euros per week.

    Our prices are per week , excepting short breaks, and include all linen, towels, electricity and water. Bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday, except as agreed outside high season period. Clients should arrive after 3.30pm on the day of arrival and leave before 10.30am on day of departure. A 25% deposit is payable on acceptance of the booking with the balance due no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival date. A 200 Euro security deposit - which is fully refundable should no damage occur to the property or its appointments - is payable with the final balance. Out of season, we are happy to consider all enquiries - even if they do not run from Saturday to Saturday. We will also consider short stay and weekend breaks.
