Our holiday cottage in Besneville is the perfect place for a relaxing break, and is ideally situated to explore the French region of Normandy. With the beach only a few minutes away at Barneville Carteret our gite is a delight to rent. The cottage, set in an acre of garden, has been totally renovated by French artisans. With the open fire and electric heating the cottage is cosy all year round. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. In the lounge there is a large open fire, comfy 3 piece suite, television with plenty of videos to watch, books and loads of games. The well equipped kitchen has a cooker, fridge, kettle, microwave, dining table to seat 6, good quality crockery and cutlery. In the bathroom you will find a bath/shower, wash basin, hair dryer, dresser, and mirror. Next door is a separate toilet. At the top of the stairs is a toilet with hand basin and mirror. The first floor has two comfortable twin bedrooms. Each with 2 single beds, 2 bedside cabinets, mirror and dresser.

There is plenty of DDay history close by. Visit the airborne museum, Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, Azzeville gun battery, or see what life was like for the occupied French in the museum at Quinneville.
The cottage is set in an acre of garden under oak trees in real French countryside.Only 40 minutes drive from Cherbourg ferry port and right on the doorstep of many of Normandy`s best attractions such as the DDay Landing Beaches, Bayeux and Mont Saint Michel. There are literally miles of empty beaches close by, and don`t forget to visit the historic market towns of Bricquebec and Saint Sauveur. It is a few minutes away from the beach at Portbail or Carteret. Ideally situated to explore the French region of Normandy. Five minutes drive away is the historic town of Bricquebec which has a large market every Monday. The chic town of Barneville Carteret is only 5 minutes away with trendy boutiques and a large clean beach.

The prices quoted include electricity, water, heating and all linen and towels. Bookings are normally taken from Saturday to Saturday. The cottage is available from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure. These rules are not rigid and if you need to arrive on a different day please ask. Outside of the main holiday periods we are happy to take bookings on a daily basis, with a minimm stay of three nights.
