Vacation Rental Description
On edge of the village of Ravenvoville Bourg and 1km walking/cycling along quiet safe road to Ravenoville plage. Ideal for healthy active family holidays. Village , 300 yards away, has two bars , one with post office and shop. Tennis court and mini-golf in village square. Also one local restaurant 300 yards down the road and another in Ravenoville plage.

Parking in grounds for three cars.Large garden in front of house arranged as safe, enclosed area for children of all ages to play. Collapsible paddling pool big enough for adults and children to splash together. Bicycles. Barbeque and outside table to seat 10. . Large barn with table tennis and basket ball hoops. Ample outside chairs/loungers and a tree to read under.

House been used over past 30 years for family holidays . Carefully restored as a functional summer holiday base in simple but attractive style. Downstairs combined kitchen/dining room with impressive open stone fireplace which can be used to cok on. Dishwasher and new electric cooking stove. Ample plates, glasses etc and local cookery books. Generous food storage in kitchen and under stairs.Adjacent sitting/reading room with more easy chairs and books. Bathroom ,with strong shower and two basins, and the separate, secluded toilet are both downstairs along with the washing machine and tumble drier.

Gentle, new staircse to upstairs landing. One side of house has two double bedrooms that can be closed of: one with adjacent single beds and the other with large double bed. Landing can be used for extra bed/changing area. Other side of house has large dormitory/children's room open to the wooden cladded roof, to sleep 4 plus cot.

Cherbourg ferry port is 45 minutes' drive , Caen/Ouistreham 90 minutes. Stations at Valognes and Carentan (15 minutes) and Cherbourg. Paris 3 hours 30 minutes' drive and 3 hours by train.

Ste Mere Eglise is 10 minutes' drive - supermarket, full range of shops, banks,doctors/dentist, pharmacy,hairdresser. Golf course ( Golf du Cotentin) is at Quinneville 5 kms along coast to north , 15 km to picturesque St Vaast la Hogue fishing and sailing harbour with excellent resturants and qulality shops eg Gosselin for wine and quality foods. D-Day Utah US landing beach 5 kms to south with museum.

Day excursions to Mont St Michel ( 2/3 hours) and Bayeux ( 1 hour ) Caen ( 1 hour 30 minutes) and Joburg Peninsular ( 1 hour). Other D-Day beaches near Caen and Bayeux.
