Large old farmhouse restored eight years ago and new kitchen and ensuites added last year. Open plan downstairs to allow best use of the property large well equipped kitchen with 5burner range gas cooker and electric oven catering size utensils to allow meals to be prepared for larger numbers when the other houses are also booked for the same group. Lounge area has woodburner satellite television DVD etc. Two tables can be placed together to allow up to 20 to eat together. Two spacious family bedrooms north bedroom has double and single with pull out bed under the ensuite has toilet washbasin and bath with shower attachment. South bedroom has double bed and bunk beds the ensuite has toilet washbasin and shower. The middle bedroom has two single beds and the ensuite has toilet and washbasin. A utility room downstairs has the washing machine water heater and toilet. Outside there is an outdoor table chairs and sun loungers large bbq washing line and parking for at least two cars.

The kitchen is large and well laid out to cater for large parties as many guests take the farmhouse plus one or two of the other houses on the site and tend to do the catering in this house. We have provided large catering pans etc and the large range cooker has five burners and large electric oven and grill. There is a small utility room by the doorway with the washing machine and a toilet/washbasin so guests do not have to go upstairs for the toilet. Outside there are large gardens with lawned areas and a wildflower meadow so plenty of room for healthy outdoor play.

La Haute Barberie is about a mile outside the village of Nore Dame du Touchet a small village that has a general store, bar/cafe` and bakery also a quality antiques retailer. Mortain is a hilltop town about 15 minutes away that has a Carrefour supermarket and many other facilities the waterfall complexes (Grand and Petit cascades are beautiful walks) as also is a visit to the Petit Chapelle which aford magnificent views out all the way to Mont st Michel on a fine day and is also a poignant reminder of the intense battle for this hill. Going the other direction from the village is the larger town of St Hilaire du Harcouet which features one of the largest street markets in Normandy each Wednesday, also two supermarkets and many bars and restaurants.
