Vacation Rental Description
Enjoy the beautiful countryside at La Fermette - a renovated farmhouse set in the Normandy National Park. La Fermette stands on over an acre of land surrounded by green fields, trees and cows and yet is only minutes drive from market towns and all amenities.
The three bedroomed farmhouse sleeps up to six people. It has been carefully restored and modernised. The original oak beams are a feature, as is the granite fireplace and exposed granite walls.
It stands in one acre of land and has a basement with activites such as table tennis, light gym equipment etc.
On aarival you will be met by our site managers who will hand over the keys and give you a tour of the property and tell you about the locale and its amenities. They will also be your first point of contact should you need any assistance regarding the house.

Facilities
The large sitting room has an open granite fireplace with a feature granite wall. There is a leather suite with reclining chair and a TV with English channels, DVD, VHS and radio. There is also a small library of books, films and board games. The newly fitted kitchen has integrated cooker, ceramic hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is also a toaster, kettle, coffee maker and blender. A large dining table seats six in the dining area with patio doors to the garden. There is a single bedroom downstairs and w.c. Upstairs there is a triple bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom/wc and a showeroom/wc. The basement houses the laundry with washer, drier, iron and also a play area with a range of acitivites, including table tennis. Activities
The property is situated near many tourist opporunities. There is an open swimming pool, tennis and go-cart racing within 5-10 minutes drive. There are numerous safe walks on converted former railway routes and a network of cycling and fishing opporunities. There are historic churches and towns within easy reach and cider and poire routes at hand.
Mortain has a waterfall walk, an old abbey and a cliff top chapel. WW2 sites can also be found within easy driving distance.
Markets are held weekly in nearby Mortain and St Hilaire du Harcouet and the larger cities of Rennes and Caen can be reached within an hour.
Mont St Michel is around 45 minutes drive and both the west and north coast (Normandy landing beaches) can be reached within an hour and a half.

All prices are inclusive of linen, towels and electricity. However, in weeks up to 30th March 2012 and from 10th November 2012 until 29th March 2013 the rental will include £50 of heating/electricity. Any electricity costs over and above this amount will be charged separately. A 25% non-refundable deposit is payable on booking with balance eight weeks prior to departure. A £100 returnable security deposit is payable with the balance. Payment is by cheque or bank transfer.
