Welcome to three South facing cottages sleeping 6/18. La Maison Loufran is nesteled in a Hamlet in 2.5 acres of lush Normandy greenery. Ideal for country lovers to unwind, and relax. In easy reach of all the attractions of the Manche region, golf courses,clean sandy beaches, water sports, horse riding, country walks to enjoy. On arrival, you will find La Maison Loufran set back about 50 metres from the lane. With two paddocks either side of the drive housing our hens and goats,at the end of the drive way you will find ample secure parking space. Our stone built farmhouse, with La Jardin cottage semi detached has a history dating back to the 16th centaury. Le Jardin cottage has its own secluded garden facing the Cottage together with garden furniture, you will find this a peaceful haven. Each of the barn cottages have separate patio areas accessed by glazed timbered doors, here you will find a peaceful venue to relax with your after dinner drink,or book. Garden table, chairs and lounge’s are provided. Separated by a low laurel hedge is the children’s secure play area with swings, climbing frame, see-saw and boules. Tuesday the guest are invited to a BBQ combined with a game of rounders (not compulsory) can be competeitive but fun and has proved very successful. The barn has an indoor games room with darts,table foot-ball and table tennis Bed linen , hand and bath towels are supplied on weekly basis inclusive in the rental.

Le Jardin Cottage, semi-detached to our farmhouse, dates back to the 16th century-its open-plan, beamed living room has a large timbered hearth with a log-burning fire, giving you a flavour of a French-style traditional farmhouse. An open staircase leads to the shower room and three bedrooms, two with double beds, the third with two bunk-beds.
The kitchen area in all three cottages includes a gas cooker, washing machine, fridge, pots, cutlery crockery and a variety of kitchen utensils.
Adjoining the farmhouse is Le Poirier and Le Grenier Cottages in a tasteful barn conversion.Each has spacious open plan living room with log burning fire, comfy sofa TV DVD player and midi-hi fi. On the first floor you will find three bedrooms, two with double beds, one with two singles.
The generous sized bathroom has a shower cubicle wash basin, and toilet. Each of the barn cottages have separate patio areas accessed by glazed timbered doors.
The village of Hambye is a five minutes drive from Loufran,a peaceful simplicity about the life style, architecture and the people. The village has two doctors two hairdresses various shops, also two bars one with restaurants, market day Tuesday and Friday. Hambye Abbey is near by, the most complete medieval monastery in Normandy after the famous 11th century island monastery Mont-St-Michel. Granville’s lively port area has a marina and many good fish restaurants. As well as being an important fishing port there is a ferry service to the Channel Islands a regional water sport center and golf courses. Coutances is 18kms north of Loufran with the Cathedral of Notre-Dame reconstructed during the 13th century worth a visit.Villedieu-les-Poeles 18 kms to the south of Loufran known for its old crafts of lace making copper and tin beating. The nearby zoological park set in 18 acres contains more than 50 species of animals, market day Tuesday.
