5 Bedroom Farmhouse in Granville

Set in the quiet verdant countryside of Normandie, this beautifully restored farmhouse has been furnished in a mixture of antique and modern styles. All the bedrooms feature en-suite bath and or hydro-massage shower rooms, whilst the designer kitchen again reflects the owners' great attention to detail. There is a sunken gravel garden garden to the S.E. and terraces to the front and back of the house where guests can dine 'al fresco' or take take advantage of the sunshine at any time of day. The conservatory and veranda overlooks the pretty fenced pond and rockery which is home to several carp and a favourite spot for relaxing. To the S.E. aspect of the garden there is a decked arbour, covered in grape vines and Wisteria, a real hot spot, with gazebo for cooling off in. There is a Modern english style kitchen with gas Range cooker, integrated fridge and dish washer. Micro-wave. All necessary crockery, pots pans, casserole and mixing bowls, kitchen implements, salad spinner, coffee machine, electric mixers, whisks etc... Baking tins, hob kettle. In the utiltiy room, washing machine, hoover, cleaning equipment. Iron and ironing board, second frge/frzr. In the Lounge is a plasma screen satelite UK T.V. Hi-Fi,DVD. A small collection of family orientated CD's, Piano. A wood burner set into a Normandy stone built fireplace. Dining room, large T.V. DVD/Video recorder. High chair. Selection of childrens toys and board games. Chess board and pieces, trivial pursiut, backgammon. There is a travel cot available. There are beams in all rooms except the kitchen. There is a comrehensive collection of varied books. 
There are two Family Bedrooms both with a double and two single beds in each. With either bath or shower. Two large double bedrooms and one small,(but beatuifully formed) bedroom. All bed linen is neutral in colour and all towels are plain dyed in either blue or white. We experience a wide variety of wildlife at differing times of year. We have a pair of resident moor hens that procuce a clutch of six chicks most years, little balls of black down, most endearing.

There is a spa bath in the Master Suite. Seperate WC on the ground floor.The living room is heated by the wood burner, access to the decking, arbour and the gravel garden can be gained from here. The spacious dining room seats 14 people comfortably and is linked to the conservatory through French windows and overlooks the pond. From the conservatory you can enter the large kitchen, and access to the seperate living room, the utility room is off the living room. The main entrance door to the house is in the centre of the property giving ease of access to all ground floor rooms. Heating is by modern electric radiators, the French paysage system may support the use of some added electrical appliances. So we would ask you to take this into account when bringing your own. Any electrical equipment you bring puts a heavier demand on the system incurring extra costs, this applies especially during the winter months.

Whilst fishing and horse riding are a 15 minute walk away, all other activities are a short drive. The kayak centre in Conde Sur Vire, where you can try your hand at rock wall climbing, crazy golf, or canoeing.Our garden is a veritable sun trap at any time of day, as it charts its course from the east over the gravel garden to the west where the lawns are laid. There is also a veranda along side the pond, which is one of the coolest most relaxing places in the garden. A donkey is kept in a neigbouring field. 1hrs drive to D-Day beaches, Bayeux, Granville, Le Mont St Michel. Shops are three minutes drive to Conde Sur Vire, bars, restaurants. The main front courtyard has spacious parking facilities and overlooks an old barn (where the owl lives).
