Vacation Rental Description
Gite ~ La Bucaille is a well equipped, self catering, two bedroomed Normandie gite, which has been recently renovated retaining many of its original features, including a beautifully restored original open fireplace with an inset woodburning stove and original exposed beams, both downstairs and upstairs, which gives a truly French feel to the gite.
The gite is set in its own private, enclosed garden with an abundance of beautiful shrubs giving a lovely splash of colour throughout the Spring/Summer. The garden is equipped with wooden garden furniture, making this the perfect setting to relax and dine 'al fresco' during those long, warm, summer evenings.
The gite is situated in the tranquil rural hamlet of Montgardon, only 3 minutes by car (1.5 miles, 20 minutes if you fancy a stroll) from the popular Normandie market town of La Haye du Puits, which hosts a weekly market every Wednesday morning. It has everything you need from good restaurants, bars and brasseries to an assortment of shops, including 3 supermarkets, and also more French traditional shops.
Situated on the edge of the Marais, Cotentin and Bessin National Park and also on the west coast of the Cotentin Peninsula, the gite is ideally situated with miles of beautiful French countryside, as well as miles of beautiful coastline, just on the doorstep.
