A traditional stone house in the small village of Vains in La Baie de Mont St Michel area of lower Normandy. The region is very popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders who enjoy the coastal views out to Mont St Michel. There are wonderful family friendly beaches all along the coast up to Granville. The House has 2 large bedrooms and is perfect for one or two families and their young children. The house has large communal gardens that surround the house so ideal for outdoor games of football, volleyball etc The village of Vains has a tabac and creperie that is also a station de pain, a tourist information office and a place to hire bikes. The house has a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and oven and an open plan living room diner. There is a communal laundry barn at the front of the house where there is also storage for bikes and pushchairs. Guests can enjoy the wonderful views out to the Baie of Mont St Michel and the cathedral town of Avranches from the garden and house.

The holiday house has crockery and cutlery for upto 12 people and there guests can request baby equipment such as high chairs, buggy and baby bath. All guests pay 25 euros towards the cleaning/preparation of the house so it is professional cleaned between guests. There is a library of books CD's and DVD's at the house for guest to use. Mid holiday cleaning can also be arranged. The house comes with duvets and pillows and guests can bring their own sheets and duvet covers or hire them along with towels.

The holiday house is perfect for a cycling, walking, golfing, horseriding holiday or just for enjoying the local beaches. The guided walking tours to the Abbey on Mont St Michel start from the view point at Le Grouin du Sud close to the Maison de la Baie museum in Vains/St Leonard. There are plenty of riding stables nearby that offer riding tours across the Bay. Some guests have taken balloon rides over the Bay! Avranches has restaurants, shops, cafes as well as a cinema and the Scriptorium Museum all about the Abbey of Mont St Michel.
The beach resorts of Carolles, Jullouville and Kairon Plage for water sports and the Avranches Kayak club offers tours around the Bay. The Normandy National Park at Mortain for mountain biking and great sports climbing.
Guests can prebook and collect their morning bread and croissants from the tabac in the village (closed on Mondays)and book an evening meal at the creperie there too.
