There are two one bedroomed apartments which have either twin or king size beds, large bathroom, living area, kitchen diner which is perfect for couples. Both apartments have been recently refurbished to a very high standard and with oil fired central heating they make an ideal winter break away. The yachting marina is literally on your doorstep and you have a great choice of quality restuarants all within walking distance. Marina View is ideally situated to explore the Normandy region of France.

Carteret is situated on the Cotentin Peninsula just 30 minutes drive from the Cherbourg ferry port. The village boasts a wonderful boulangerie where you can buy baguettes and your morning croissaints only minutes after they have been baked. Next door is and epicerie with an Aladin's cave full of quality French produce. There are two large supermarkets only 5 minute drive away. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants. The area has breathtaking landscapes and coastal scenery. The local beach is just 15 minutes walk from the apartment and has been awarded the European Blue flag for water quality. A walk around the headland will take you to mile upon mile of beaches and dunes. The beaches are rarely crowded and offer some of the best kite and windsurfing in Europe.

You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants as in the centre of the village is the La Marine standing on the edge of the sea with stunning views over the estuary, a further short walk is the Le Cap restaurant renowed for its seafood with panoramic views over the sea where you can watch the sailing boats coming and going and the fishing boats bringing in their catch. 
 
A 10 minute drive away at the Cote Des Iles Golf course with also a 15 lane driving range, putting green and practice bunker.

Carterets waterfront bustles with activities, at high tide sailing yachts and motor vessels make their way to and fro from the marina and trawlers unload their catch straight onto the quay at the Gare Maritime. Carteret spectacular beaches are safe and sheltered in summer. They have been awarded the European Blue Flag for water quality that is warmed by the Gulf Stream. There are miles of unspoilt coastlne and protected dunes which boasts the greatest variety of wild flowers and schrubs.There are many restaurants to choose from within easy walking distance also nearby Barneville some 2 kilometers away offers two supermarkets and also a big Saturday market and likewise Carteret also offers an open market on a Thursday which is bright and jolly and you can soak up not only the sun but the French way of life.You are also close to many of Normandy's top attractions such as Mont Saint Michel, Bayeux and the D Day Landing beaches.

Bookings are normally taken from Saturday to Saturday. The apartment is available from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure. These rules are not rigid and if you need to arrive on a different day please ask. The prices include electricity, water and all linen and towels but not beach towels unless specially requested. A non returnable deposit of pounds 100.00 is required to secure your booking, with the balance due two months before arrival date. Cancellation should be made in writing. Cancellation made more than two months prior to the due arrival date will forego the deposit only. Those made less than two months prior to the due arrival date will forego the full amount unless we are able to re-let the accommodation. We strongly recommend that you take our comprehensive travel insurance before departing (including cancellation cover)

The main house with large garden for you to enjoy Comfortable 2 person self contained apartment in main house

Modern refurbished self-contained apartment set in a traditional French House with large bedroom with built in wardrobe and cupboards. The lounge area is besides the bedroom with a double settee and armchair. There is a television with both English and French channels.
In the kitchen you will find a built in oven and grill, two ring electric hob, fridge with ice box, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and plenty of cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils are also provided.
The bathroom is large with a full size bath and shower head attached, bidet, toilet and fitted vanity sink unit with plenty of storage.
The price quoted included electricity, water and all bed linen/towels. (excluding beach towels) The apartment is cleaned to a very high standard and made ready for arrival.
The apartment has been sound proofed and therefore is peaceful and very comfortable and is centrally heated.
Unfortunately the apartment is not suitable for wheel chair access.
The South facing garden is perfect for relaxing, there are garden tables and relaxing chairs also a barbecue is supplied for el fresco eating.
