Vacation Rental Description

This cottage has been carefully renovated to a high standard to make you stay as comfortable as possible. Being in a town and within walking distance of the chateau and the famous rose garden makes the situation a perfect spot for chilling out or a base to explore the lower reaches of Normandy.
We have refurbished the cottage completely from all new kitchen, windows, shutters and tiled floors complemented with oak flooring. Whilst petite, the cottage has been furnished with higher than would expect furniture and fittings. In essence, this cottage is a quaint yet comfortable experience for a couple.
In the square there are bars and restaurants with plenty of shops for immediate provisions or the breakfast croissant.
Lassay les chateau has 3 chateaux one in full repair for the visitor to view and the other 2 in a state of disrepair but still worth a visit. The rose garden begins at one end of the town and follows the stream around the south side of the town square to the lake at the chateau.
Nearest towns are Mayenne, Bagnoles de l'Orne, Le Ferte Mace and within a short drive St, Fraimboult which is a town that has the most accolades for "Ville Fleur" each year producing the most stunning flower beds and outdoor arrangements.
To the north is the mediaeval town of Domfront where there is plenty of shops and restaurants and of course the chateau.
Within a a drive of some 90minutes will take you to Mont St Michel and it's famous abbey and probably one of Frances most famous monuments. To the east we have the town of Alencon, famous for it's lace.
Eating out in the evening is best done at Bagnoles de l'Orne where you will have the most choice of restaurants and of course you can enjoy the theatre, cinema and casino there, or even treat yourself to the 'thermals' which is reputed to have beneficial healing powers, but probably just an excuse to spend some time pampering.
This is an area of outstanding beauty and will offer plenty for everyone.

The cottage was lovely, the description in the advert is spot on.
It is very small but well equipted and has everything you could want. It was clean and tidy
It was cosy and warm.
I would recommend this to other people, and would go there again.
The area is very nice but quite. We were out of season so not much was open but it was still worth seeing.

A Fantastic little cottage perfect for a couple on a romantic holiday, we celebrated our First wedding anniversary here and was overwhelmed how modern its facilities were but still had that French charm.
It was a short walk from a lovely town square which had a few bars and shops, and two lovely pâtisserie.
The cottage facilities are new and everything was impeccably clean, it was great for just chilling at night and watching DVD's.
It was an excellent base to see the area with its own chanteau, rose garden and local market held in the square and also supermarket about 10 minutes walk from house.
We have already booked to go again next year and would definitely recommend it friends and family.
We would also like to say a thank you to the owners for our surprise welcome food hamper and lovely flowers for our wedding anniversary.

We have spend 10 days in August in this cosy cottage. Really well-furnished, and all facilities you will find there are of high-quality. It is very romantic for two people. Village has a lot of activity, and has its own Chateau and Rosarie.
It is also well located to see Normandie, and to enjoy Normandie National Park. You can ride on horse, bike, wander and lot of activities.
We are willing to come back again. Thanks for all Colin.
