This beautiful 200 year old French farm house is set in 2 acres of private land and is surrounded by stunning countryside. The house has a long private drive with plenty of parking and was fully refurbished 2 years ago by local craftsmen giving it all the feel of the original design.

It has three bedrooms, two of which are doubles and one twin room, all with views over the open countryside. Also there is a upstairs bathroom. Downstairs there is a large kitchen with a fireplace and wood burning stove, cooker, dishwasher microwave and there is also a large farm house kitchen table.
The house has a brand new kitchen and new floors throughout, upstairs there are oak floors all new, and a new bathroom suite and shower.
If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you lovely walks on empty roads. Get up early and see the deer and rabbits, it is like having your own private estate. Bring your bikes and ride for miles without seeing cars.
Go to the bakers in Broglie and get your bread fresh every day, soak up the french way of life slow and uncomplicated.
The region is well known for cider making and Bernay is a large market town about 8 miles away.
There is a station in Bernay and you can catch a train to Paris easily from there.
Plenty to see and do if you want to leave the sun-drenched terrace.
St Aubin du Thenney is a short walk away.
Take a bike and ride off, there are very few cars and kids are really safe.

The local region has a lot to offer St Aubin is located only 25km from the cathedral town of Lisieux in the heart of the Pays d'Auge region well known for its cider and cheese making traditions. The resort town of Deauville (55km) famous for its annual film festival. is a must see for visitors to this part of France, while a short drive away lies the pretty port of Honfleur attracting artists and holidaymakers from all over the world.

Our 4 children enjoyed the pool and garden immensely.( they were in the pool at 9am before we went out for the day.)
The location is idyllic if you’re looking for a rural retreat.
The gite is well equipped and the owners have made sure it’s a comfortable home from home.
We spent a very full week visiting the many attractions that are nearby.

There is a lot to do and see locally. There are wonderful markets in all the nearby towns. Broglis is about 3 miles away Obec is 4 miles and Bernay is about 7 miles away all have market days and lovely restaurants. The Normandy beaches are about three quarters of an hour by car. You can catch a train to Paris from Bernay.

We require a non-refundable deposit of £100 when you book and the final payment is due 6 weeks before the holiday. If for any reason you have to cancel then you must do so 6 weeks before the start of the holiday otherwise we will have to charge you for the full amount unless we can relet the holiday.
