Owner Location Comment
A highly treasured beach-side escape for Parisians. This seaside town was made famous by Chanel who opened her first shop here. Many other great names followed and today, there are: Louis Vitton, Sonia Rykiel, Le Printemps, Lancel, Longchamp. Equally famous for its casinos, equestrian events, sailing events.
There is so much to do in Deauville when you are tired of lying around on the beach people watching. The big events in 2011 include: horse racing, auctions, polo competitions, concerts, exhibitions, let's not forget the festivals - Asian Film Festival, American Film Festival, Easter Music Festival, and the famous vintage car rally Paris-Deauville. Not forgetting Calvados - obviously the place to be for a little sampling of the local produce - the market in the main square has an exquisite range of seafood (fresh off the boats daily) , cheeses (Pont l'Eveque is a stones throw away) and beautiful seasonal fruit and vegetables
