Vacation Rental Description
Our newly renovated and furnished gite has three en-suite bedrooms, two double rooms and one with three single beds. We can accommodate 7 adults, and in addition can provide cots and folding beds for younger children.
Outside there are extensive lawns where the children can play, a small barbeque, peach trees, grape vines and flowers. There are swings in a separate play area, (shared with the main house), and a private parking space next to the gite.
From the patio there are views of our flower meadow and three oaks, and beyond that there are fields.
The gite, formerly a barn and part of an old French farm, is situated within the Parc Naturel du Perigord-Limousin in SW France. We are on the edge of the hamlet of Videix, surrounded by the unspoilt countryside of Limousin; and only minutes away from a swimming lake with restaurants, beaches and a nautical centre. There are riding stables, an outdoor activities centre, an important site of Roman Baths, the mediaeval town and Chateau of Rochechouart, now a centre for modern art, all five to ten minutes drive. The area is excellent for walking and cycling with short and long distance paths right outside our front door.
There is something to do for all the family, and we love to welcome children to our guest house and gite.
We also offer art and painting courses for beginners and those with more experience, including drawing, watercolour, acrylics, pastel, mixed media and jewellery-making with qualified and experienced teachers. We organise Fine Food and Wine Discovery Holidays where you can visit local food and wine producers and enjoy our rich, regional cuisine.
