Welcome to our beautiful self-catering vacation house / gite in the rural Limousin region of central France - the "land of a thousand lakes".
Entirely renovated, the interior is tasteful and bright, with many original features, stunning oak flooring and original artwork.
· There are 6 comfortable bedrooms (sleeping a maximum of 14 people), 5 of which have private bathrooms.
· The ground-floor is accessible to wheelchairs.
· There is a large kitchen that is fully equipped for groups who enjoy eating in - we provide ample crockery, a large gas oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, huge table...
· Adjoining the kitchen is the spacious lounge, where you can relax in front of the satellite television (with DVD player), or chat to friends in comfort.
· The large, private garden and terrace overlook the peaceful Limousin countryside and is the perfect setting for a relaxing glass of wine.
· All linen, towels, electricity and central heating (in winter!) are included in the rental price.
· This is definitely a child-friendly vacation rental and we are happy to provide items to make your holiday a little easier e.g. toys, high-chairs, cots…
This beautiful village rental is situated in the picturesque village of St Germain les Belles, just 30 minutes south of the city of Limoges - the village has some great local shops, restaurants and a family-friendly swimming lake (with bar and restaurant – a really lively place to be in summer!)
Limousin has been called the 'French Lake District' and will offer you some of the most unspoilt, natural landscapes in France. You are never far from a lake or the huge network of meandering country walks across rolling hills and forests – come and experience a slower pace of life and true, rural French culture.
The abundance of lakes and rivers within Limousin also means that including the fantastic canoeing and sailing locations, it is also a great location for a fishing holiday in France.
We are also only 30 minutes away from the attractive city of Limoges - famous for its porcelain and old quarter. Discover the abundance of interesting boutiques, medieval churches, restaurants, antique markets… it is definitely well worth a visit.

Ideally located in the south Haute-Vienne department of Limousin (10 minutes from the A20 motorway, 30 minutes south of Limoges and 4 hours south of Paris), the house can be found nestling in the heart of the peaceful village of St Germain les Belles.

For the outdoor enthusiast and those of you who enjoy countryside rambling, there are numerous activities in the surrounding region. We can tell you all about our favourite walks, beauty spots and places to watch birds. If you enjoy cycling holidays, bicycle hire is available within the village and there are many local routes through quiet country villages.
There are also several Climbing locations in Limousin, including Aubazine (Saut de la Bergère), Bort les Orgues (Orgues), Gros-Chastang (Le Pont de Sagne), Uzerche (Rocher du Moulin in the Vézère Gorges) and Voutezac (Saut du Saumon).

All rooms are twin-bedded (perfect for mixed groups) but we can make them up as doubles to suit your requirements. The largest bedroom can accommodate 3 beds and travel cots can also be added where needed.
We strive to be child-friendly vacation accommodation - being a young family ourselves, we understand the pressures (and pleasures!) of taking the children on holiday. We can provide some of those 'bulky' items that are difficult to pack for a holiday (travel cots, high-chairs, toys, baby baths, stair-gates, etc.) - just let us know what you need when booking and we will do our best to provide it.
We welcome disabled guests and consider ourselves to be wheelchair-friendly holiday accommodation - please contact us for further information about our accessible, ground-floor bedroom and private bathroom.
We are happy to provide DVDs and books for the use of our guests, including childrens’ books and useful wildlife reference books.
