Interior
Inside
Full of character with all those home from home comforts. Large comfortably furnished open plan luxurious living area with traditional open fireplace and bread oven. The kitchen is fully equipped with a double oven. There is also a separate dining table and a lounging area with tv, dvd player and i-pod dock. Also downstairs are two large double bedrooms and a large bathroom with bath and shower. Upstairs, you will find two large double bedrooms, a smaller bedroom with large single (which could sleep two children), a shower room and a stunning lounge area with original stone walls and beams. All double bedrooms are tastefully furnished with authentic french country furniture as is the rest of the house. There is also an electric double blow up bed and two travel cots available for your use.
The house is centrally heated and with the open fireplace, this provides a warm, cosy atmosphere for winter lets.
Outside
The house is a charming wisteria covered traditional stone 17th C farmhouse surrounded by grounds of two acres with stunning views of open countryside/chestnut forests and a lake. A large rustic wooden table and other garden furniture including sun loungers and a barbecue are available for your use. You are also lucky enough to have walking/horse riding/cycling routes at the end of the drive. At night time, experience the clearest starry nights you can imagine and listen to the owls in the nearby forest.

Activities
The area is known for its chateaux and historical places of interest including caves with prehistoric cave paintings. There is also swimming, fishing, canoeing and windsurfing in the many leisure lakes and rivers, as well as an international golf course and horse riding facilities nearby. There are also numerous walking and cycling routes for both short rambles for beginners and much longer walks/cycle routes for the enthusiast.
The closest large city is Limoges which is the capital of the Haute Vienne and also the city of porcelain. The butchers quarter of Limoges is stunning with half timbered medieval buildings and fantastic restaurants. It also has an old fashioned covered market which sells anything from home produce to bric a brac. It also has an antiques market on a Sunday. For the golfers amongst you, there is an international golf course here too.
